Meet Caleb Elijah

Today we’d like to introduce you to Caleb Elijah.

So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I was raised in Egg Harbor City NJ, was raised alongside my two brothers and sister by my mother. Life was tough at times because she was by herself and money wasn’t coming in as fast as it had to go out. So we endured a lot and had to grow up somewhat faster than others did. Fast forward, I played college football for two years and thought that was my passion until my career was cut short. Around this time, my best friend passed away which left me depressed and in a dark place. I then audited an acting class at Nick Conti’s Acting Studio and fell in love with it. When I was on camera, I felt the same adrenaline I felt on the field, and it also allowed me release all my emotions. I finally found my true passion.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Not a smooth road at all, but I feel as though nothing worth having comes easy. With acting, you can go months or years without booking anything so that is always discouraging especially at first. And then with Covid happening, I kind of fell into a slump in 2020. I had many nights staying up thinking am I good enough or why hasn’t it happened yet. But I try my best to pray and ask for all of the doubt to be removed, it’s just tough because I am my own worst critic. Also being a full-time student sometimes hindered me from making auditions or networking events.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I am an actor and just recently started my own nonprofit organization “Caleb Elijah Family Foundation”, since I was once a kid who came from a struggling household and needed help sometimes I wanted to become the help I needed. So our goal is to help as many kids and families whom are less fortunate and let them know that there is always a helping hand. We will have food drives, back to school events, Christmas gift-giving, and more. I just knew how much certain people changed my life by being there for me and I pray I can help change other’s lives.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I want to be a well-known actor whether it be TV, movies, commercials, voice over, I am open to it. It’s very hard work, I understand but everything you want to do at a high level is going to be hard. I also want my organization to become nation-wide and help millions of people.
