Hi Camilla, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am the owner and founder of “Millz Palette”. My brand is committed to prioritizing my customers needs with my poppin lip care products. When I decided to go into business, I did have some hesitation in the beginning. Especially being a new entrepreneur coming in the game. I didn’t know what I would expect, what the results would be, etc. My best friend Rakedia Bryant believed in me and said, “Camilla you can do it. I know you can.” Having people in your circle that GENUINELY want to see you succeed & go far in life is ALWAYS a major blessing. Since then, I got started on my entrepreneurship journey by first having my own cosmetic line in the beginning. I did my research and decided on which beauty products I wanted to sell. After having my own cosmetic line for a few months, I decided I wanted to switch over and have my own natural handmade products. That’s when I began making lipgloss.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has not. Being an entrepreneur is not easy. There is a lot that comes with it. From branding, to marketing, advertising, creating the products, time management etc. Behind the scenes, a great deal of work is put into my brand daily. Consistency is key. No matter what obstacles you come up against, keep going & remember why you started your business! Put God first, stay focused and NEVER GIVE UP!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a lipgloss wholesaler/vendor. I make handmade lipgloss for different businesses, brands & also anyone wanting to start their own lipgloss line. What I think sets me apart from others…is the way I create my glosses & my gloss formula. I love to bring out my artistic side when I make them. Customers always come back to me, saying “My gloss makes their lips feel so soft, moisturized and smooth.” “It lasts a long time throughout the day on their lips.” I love what I do & love to see my customers happy & satisfied even more.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
The quality or characteristic I feel is most important is…dedication. If you aren’t dedicated in reaching your goals, it will never happen. Don’t start something & not finish it. If you don’t see the results you want, re-evaluate and try a different approach. Positivity plays a huge part on the road to your success. Watch the energy that you keep around you. Energy speaks louder than words. Always be humble & treat others the way you would want to be treated. That is the golden rule…I go by for my business & also in life. Last but not least, ALWAYS BE YOURSELF!
