I have been employed within the healthcare field for thirteen years, since the age of 17, as a nurse, medical assistant, health insurance benefits consultant, pharmacy technician, and now a cosmetic and weight loss spa owner. My passion for caring for others and helping them achieve optimal health inside and out is key to pursuing my dreams of making an impact on the quality of healthcare provided to the members of my community. The motivation behind establishing Peace at Mind, Body, and Beauty Co. is to bring awareness to men and women of all ages and sizes on how important it is to care for the largest organ of our human bodies, our skin. I believe in naturally enhancing your appearance.

Therefore, I felt that a cosmetic weight loss spa offering world-renowned noninvasive procedures such as Ultrasonic cavitation, RF skin tightening, Electronic Muscle Stimulation, Lymphatic drainage massages, body contouring and more all accompanied with personalized weight loss management plans customized to every client needs made perfect sense for me and my passion for how I can make a meaningful impact on the community. It is no secret that surgical cosmetic procedures are popular amongst the city of Atlanta, however, I want to offer an alternative to surgical treatment and provide the same results my clients aim to achieve from surgery, without the hefty price, downtime, or pain. Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Every entrepreneur faces obstacles, especially at the starting stages of their entrepreneurship. My struggle so far has been finding a perfect marketing solution that fits my budget and reaches my targeted audience. Unfortunately, with restrictions on social media platforms, it is very difficult for me to be allowed to show before and after pictures as promotional posts due to the restrictions around body image and the perception that the imagery may give to younger audiences and anyone struggling with body image. Social media platforms are where we all turn to find the latest trends, fashions, and body appearances, and although it can be conducted innocently, it all can become overwhelming, so I do understand the social media restrictions pertaining to advertising.

However, for establishments similar to Peace at Mind, Body, and Beauty sharing images of different body types and how they naturally change post-treatment is essential in advertising because the audience is typically specifically searching for such images to determine if noninvasive services are a potential fit for them and their weight loss or cosmetic needs. I have spent a hefty fortune on social media advertising prior to having body image content to post and share as ads, so once I realized the restrictions and stimulations to advertising through social media, I had already spent money towards a marketing plan that restricted me from advertising the most essential part of grabbing the attention of new clients, before and after photos. I have sense learned a few tips and tricks to assist with getting the attention of my targeted audience so that they may visit my social media or website after seeing the guideline-friendly advertisements created. I have also changed my budget to fit multiple streams of marketing solutions so that my targeted audience is reached through various platforms.
