Meet Deondrae(Drae2xx) Williams of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Deondrae(Drae2xx) Williams.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My name is Drae2xx I was born in Meridian,Mississippi but as a child I had family in Atl Ga so from 8 years old I always been coming back in forth from Mississippi to Atlanta until I decided to fully move and settle in South Atl back at the end of 2015 I start doing Music Seriously 2022 recording out of norcross Ga at StarrMix Studios with MixGod and early on getting show opportunities with Bank on Frank pharoah mafia camp at key spots like kiss Ultra lounge, Monaco Lounge, onyx and paradise lounge just to name a few. From that I just decided to continue to keep grinding releasing singles such as right now ,blacc John Lennon , notice me, Baggs. Soon after I started to doing shows and local showcases for uglymoneynichie that he use to host for independent artist which brings me today I release my first full studio project EP title Megastar which I drop Nov 19 2025 which brought immediate opportunity. I begin getting booked at KOD for the Money talk tours hosted by BMG generationbmg every Tuesday and was able to be solid relationships with viewer discretion and sokoldradio bush and KD I was able to successfully turn that into more exposure gaining opportunities with Daze Summit and Mor Booking agency I have been booked in New York and Philadelphia for those summits and perform around Atlantic and Def Jam reps, I also was able to link with DJCalvinAtl most recently and was place into major rotation on his radio shows 103.7dabeat fm with single from megastar Ep Victoria $ecret$ to kick off the second Quarter 2026 which lead to opportunities to break into Miami market thanks to DjcalvinAtl and local media platforms like Dajuice.Lit

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I would say it has been a smooth road just because you get out of it what u put in it and I believe consistency is the best availability when it comes to music and trying to scale higher yes some days are better than others but even on the lesser days it’s always something I can do to help

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I would like to say I’m a Hybrid Alternative Artist who can cross between trap/pop/rock and infuse it into my music. I’m heavily influenced by anime so a lot of the beats and instruments I record on comes from that world. I like to make real vibes that’s true to me and my everyday life. I think over time I have became known for successfully blending those sounds but now I’m in the stage of scaling to higher market visibility. I think I’m most proud of they way I don’t quit I just keep going and trying to improve no matter what and take pride in being able to build true solid relationships and connections with people to be able to grow and add on to the next rollout of whatever I’m tryna accomplish

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love Atlanta it is literally my Second Home but my main home away from meridian I love how everyone wants to see you win and I love the opportunity the city has no matter what u tryna do it’s not to many things u can’t do in Atlanta plus it has some of the best music and artist in the world some of the best creatives and tastemakers not too many thing I don’t like about the city besides rush hour traffic which seems like all day thing now days lol
