If you had told me a few years ago that I would leave everything I knew behind to chase my dreams, I probably wouldn’t have believed you. I’m originally from Greenwood, South Carolina, where I built my name as a makeup artist through hard work, exceptional service, and the power of word-of-mouth. My community knew me, trusted me, and supported me. As my business continued to grow beyond my hometown and throughout the Upstate, I realized God was calling me to something bigger.

So I took the biggest leap of faith of my life and moved to Atlanta, Georgia.

Starting over in a city where no one knew my name was both exciting and humbling. I went from being well-established to having to prove myself all over again. Atlanta is a city full of talent, opportunity, and ambitious entrepreneurs. I quickly learned that success here isn’t built the same way it was back home. Networking is everything. Social media isn’t just a tool—it’s how people discover you, connect with your brand, and decide whether to trust you with some of the most important moments of their lives.

That transition challenged me in ways I never expected. It forced me to become more intentional, more creative, and more strategic—not only in how I marketed my business but also in how I viewed entrepreneurship. I invested in refining my craft, elevating the luxury experience I provide, and creating a brand that reflects excellence from the moment a client discovers me to the moment they leave my chair.

Looking back, I’m grateful I took the risk. Every obstacle, every quiet season, every lesson, and every new connection has shaped me into the entrepreneur I am today. My journey has never been just about makeup—it’s about faith, resilience, growth, and believing in yourself enough to start over in pursuit of the life you know you’re capable of building.

Today, through Opulent Artistry, my goal is simple: to make every client feel beautiful, confident, and unforgettable while showing other women that it’s never too late to bet on yourself. Sometimes the biggest blessings begin with the biggest leap of faith.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
One of my biggest obstacles has been learning how to market my business in a large city. Back home, most of my clients came through word of mouth because I had built a strong reputation in my community. Moving to a new city meant starting over and learning completely different marketing strategies to reach new clients, build trust, and grow my brand from the ground up. That challenge has pushed me to become more creative, consistent, and intentional with how I promote my business.

With over seven years of experience as a professional makeup artist, I specialize in luxury soft glam and bridal makeup, creating timeless, elegant looks that enhance each client’s natural beauty. My greatest accomplishment has been building my business from the ground up after moving to a new city where no one knew my work. Through dedication, consistency, and passion, I’ve established myself in a completely new market while continuing to grow a brand I’m proud of.

What sets me apart is the experience I provide. I believe makeup is more than just a service—it’s a luxury experience. From the moment my clients sit in my chair, my goal is to create a calm, elevated environment where they feel confident, pampered, and beautiful. Every detail of my brand reflects excellence, professionalism, and genuine care, ensuring each client leaves not only looking their absolute best but feeling it as well.
