Meet Dr Josias Jean-Pierre of Federal Way

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr Josias Jean-Pierre.

Hi Dr Josias, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It all started with a vision at 13 years old. I saw through dreams that I will have national and international impact. Saw through dreams that I will be this powerful iconic voice for my generation. Before books were even manifested, I saw it manifesting. I always say if you see it before you see it, you will then see it. Through it all, all the honor and glory goes to my Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

I got to where I am today because I was being intentional with the call that God put over my life. I decrease so he can have the increase and because it was him who gave me the vision, I just believed he will do exceeding abundantly above all that I can ask for or even imagine.

This impact literally has been an impact via word of mouth. My mission is to reach one teach one and each one reach one. While God gave me this big vision, I wanted to focus on my back yard and impact the lives in my back yard. I always focus on planting the seed because in due time, you’ll reap what you have sowed. Before you know it, the impact was moving throughout the state of WA then moved to other states then moved internationally. The message was moving in places I never step foot at. The book was traveling to territories I never step foot in. No matter how saturated a room is, if God calls you to it there will always be room for you in it.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Some of the struggles were the lack of belief people had for me. When I told people I am going to be this voice for my generation and a national and international author and motivational speaker, peers and educators laughed. I was this individual who had an I.E.P (Individualize education Program) because of the diagnosis of epilepsy. I stuttered lot and could barely comprehend information given to me due to the electrical activity of my brain being impacted due to seizures. People and educators would literally laugh and speak negatively. I had a choice to either let how things look to determine how far I go or believe what I saw via dreams is what I am called to do, and let the setbacks become a fuel for major impact. I was in speech class and had a big stutter. And because of that, folks have said, what makes you think you will be this iconic national speaker when you can barely speak and annunciate your words.
It hasn’t been a smooth road but every impact turned to impact, every mess turned into a message, every trial turned into a triumph, every test turned into a testimony, and every misery turned into a ministry where I go down the elevator to equip others with the tools they need to be empowered to elevate fully into whom God created them to be with no limits.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a speaker and a writer. A poet, national and international awards winning speaker and author. I specialize in helping people turning their pain into purpose and see the obstacle as an opportunity for major bounce back. I am known for equipping people with the mindset that they are born on purpose, for a purpose, and with a purpose. And every breath they take are not accident breaths but purposeful breath. And it’s not about what happens it’s about how you respond to what happens. The thing I am mostly proud of is seeing people flourish into their full potential and being able to witness lives being transformed and now that transformed life is paving it forward and carrying the baton of impact. What sets me apart is I show up my authentic self no matter whom the audience is. I am able to understand my audience and meet them where they are at but expand their horizon to think deeper and more critically.

What are your plans for the future?
My future plan will be the plan I have right now. Placing God in the driver seat let him have his way and have me out the way. At the end of the day, it’s him who gets all the honor and glory not me. I’m being faithful to the call and he’s doing the work in me and through me.
