Meet Fion Jemison of Royalty Financial Consulting & Services, LLC.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Fion Jemison.

Hi Fion, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey has been anything but conventional. I spent time in foster care as a child, lost both of my parents at a young ages, became a young mom and lost my sister to suicide. Each of those challenges has shaped the person that I am today. Those experiences taught me resilience, perseverance, and the importance of creating opportunities for others who may feel overlooked or unsupported.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology at Michigan State University because I’ve always been passionate about understanding people and helping them navigate life’s challenges. Professionally, I’ve spent years building my career in corporate leadership and compliance, where I’ve developed skills in problem-solving, relationship building, and serving others with integrity.

Along the way, I discovered that my greatest fulfillment comes from helping people. That passion led me to found Royalty Financial Consulting & Services, where I educate individuals and families on credit strategy, financial wellness, and creating a stronger financial foundation. I believe financial literacy should be accessible, practical, and empowering, and I love helping people realize that their current circumstances don’t have to define their future.

Once my sister committed suicide, I knew that I had to do something quick so I also created a women empowerment group “Queens-R-Us”. It focuses on empowerment for women from Motherhood to mental health. I’ve always felt that other women especially women of color need to encourage and support each other more.

That same desire to serve also led me to become a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), advocating for children in foster care. Having experienced the foster care system myself, this role holds a special place in my heart. It has come full circle and reminds me daily that some of our greatest pain can eventually become our greatest purpose.

Today, I see every chapter of my life. The hardships, the victories, and everything in between as preparation. My story isn’t about where I started; it’s about choosing, over and over again, to keep moving forward and using my experiences to encourage and uplift others.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I’ve experienced loss, uncertainty, financial setbacks, career changes, and seasons where I questioned whether I was moving in the right direction. There were times when it felt like I was carrying the weight of everything on my own while trying to be the best mother I could be.

One of the biggest struggles was realizing that I had spent so much of my life in survival mode. When you’re focused on simply making it through the day, it’s easy to lose sight of who you are outside of your responsibilities. Learning to heal, give myself grace, and redefine success has been just as important as any professional accomplishment.

Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve had moments of self-doubt, uncertainty, and having to wear every hat while learning as I go. There have been setbacks that could have made me quit, but I’ve learned to see obstacles as opportunities to grow rather than reasons to stop.

As you know, we’re big fans of Royalty Financial Consulting & Services, LLC.. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
At Royalty Financial Consulting & Services, we take a different approach than what many people expect when they hear the words “credit.” We are a credit strategy and financial education company, not a traditional credit repair company.

Our focus is on helping individuals understand their credit reports, identify opportunities for improvement, develop personalized strategies, and make informed financial decisions that support their long-term goals. While we educate clients on consumer rights, credit reporting, and best practices, we believe lasting financial success comes from knowledge, accountability, and strategy, not simply disputing information on a credit report.

What sets us apart is that we don’t believe in quick fixes or one-size-fits-all solutions. Every person’s financial situation is different, so every strategy should be different. Whether someone is working toward buying a home, qualifying for business funding, improving their financial habits, or simply gaining confidence with their credit, we meet them where they are and help them build a realistic path forward.

I’m most proud that our brand is built on education, transparency, and empowerment. We want people to leave us with more than just a higher credit score. We want them to understand why their credit improved and how to maintain it for years to come.

At the end of the day, our mission is simple: to equip people with the knowledge and strategies they need to build stronger financial futures. We believe financial literacy has the power to change lives, families, and generations, and we’re honored to be part of that journey.

We don’t sell hope. We teach strategy.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I was naturally curious and observant. I’ve always been someone who enjoys understanding people. Why they think the way they do, what motivates them, and what they might be going through beneath the surface.

I was smart and always wanted to learn new things. Education was important to me very early on. I was outgoing,
caring and very friendly. I wanted to help on a large scale early on to the point where at around 10 or 11, I wanted to sponsor a child and did.

I’ve always had a heart for serving others. Whether it was encouraging someone, offering advice, or simply being someone people could talk to, I found fulfillment in helping people feel seen and supported.

I was also a dreamer. Even when my circumstances didn’t always reflect where I wanted to be, I believed life could look different. I’ve always been drawn to personal growth, leadership, and finding ways to create opportunities.

Because of my childhood experiences, I also became very independent at a young age. I learned early on how to adapt, solve problems, and keep moving forward, even when life was difficult.

In many ways, my personality hasn’t changed all that much. I’ve simply become more confident in who I am and more intentional about using my experiences, strengths, and voice to make a positive impact.
