Meet Jade Muse of Desire the Natural

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jade Muse.

Hi Jade, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
From a young age, I’ve always appreciated living a natural lifestyle. One of my first big decisions was choosing to wear my hair naturally instead of getting perms. After telling my mom, she said I would have to learn to style my own hair — so I taught myself how to braid. Looking back, that was one of my first steps into natural living.

As a child, I loved being outdoors — climbing trees, walking my dog, and exploring nature. Because I was adventurous (and naturally clumsy), I often had scars on my legs. One day my mom told me to change into pants because she didn’t want my scars showing. That moment inspired me to find a natural way to heal my skin. After doing some research, I discovered lemon juice could help lighten dark spots and scars. Within weeks, I noticed a difference. That was my first real experience with natural healing, and it sparked something in me.

Growing up in Baltimore, tea was always a part of my life. After moving to Atlanta, I began studying herbs and their healing properties for ailments like high blood pressure and diabetes. During my first year in Atlanta, I earned my certification in Holistic Care. Since then, I’ve continued studying how chemicals, foods, fabrics, environments, and frequencies affect the body while helping myself and others on their wellness journeys.

Today, my husband, children, and I live as naturally and intentionally as we can — growing our own food, using natural products, recycling, staying active, and honoring God through the way we live.

All of these experiences led me to create my natural lifestyle brand, Desire the Natural. Entrepreneurship has always been part of who I am, and I wanted to build a business that reflected my values while serving others. Looking back, I now realize I was being prepared to create this brand all along. Living naturally brings me joy and allows me to share what I’ve learned while helping others elevate their own health and wellness journeys.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, the journey to creating my brand has not been easy. Although I’ve had my LLC for seven years, my original business path was in modeling and music. After becoming a wife and mother, my mindset and life direction completely changed. God transformed me — my habits, discipline, and even the people around me began to change.

Starting this new business required a lot of research, from learning about ingredients and products to understanding branding, marketing, and promotion. One of my biggest challenges was learning patience, staying consistent, and making time to build my business while balancing an already busy life. Despite the challenges, every step has helped shape the vision and purpose behind Desire the Natural.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My business, Desire the Natural, is a natural lifestyle brand focused on supporting health and wellness mentally, spiritually, physically, and emotionally. We provide natural products for hair, skin, and home care, along with educational content that helps expand and uplift our supporters’ mindsets. I also published my book, A Premium Source of Inspiration, to inspire motivation, deeper thinking, and a stronger relationship with God.

What makes us different is that we genuinely care about the people we serve. Beyond products, we create a positive and supportive experience by offering guidance, real conversations, freebies, and encouragement throughout their wellness journey. I’m most proud of building a brand that authentically represents my lifestyle while helping people elevate and reach their goals.

How do you think about luck?
I do not believe in luck; I believe in destiny, divine synchronicity, and predestination through Christ. I truly feel that I have been preparing my entire life for moments such as this, and I am grateful to be of service in any way I can.

Every experience has taught me something valuable — allowing me to learn, grow, and refine myself along the journey. I am deeply proud of how far I have come, yet even more excited for what the future holds, because I know this is only the beginning.
