Hi James, thank you so much for sitting down with us again. For folks who might have missed our initial interview, can you start by briefly introducing yourself?
As an Entrepreneur, my path has led me to a position where my experiences, resources, and passions to help position Entrepreneurs and Business Owners align themselves and organizations with strategic strategies of site selection for expanding offices, or retail locations or businesses for sale accomplish their business goals. As Broker/Owner of Rushman Moore Commercial Real Estate, we are positioned as one of the go to firms for tenants/buyers and business owners to represent their interests.

Who is Rushman Moore?
Rushman Moore is the culmination of years of experience as a real estate professional, entrepreneur, and a creative, established to provide a platform for emerging commercial real estate professionals who are intent on cultivating a client base of entrepreneur and business owners seeking office, retail, or businesses for sale for their business portfolio. Founded from the real estate division of The J Rushman Group Inc. Rushman being the ideal of taking the trust and commitment to move the task of each client forward, putting them in position to win. Moore is an understanding of identity. As a minority owned firms, our ancestors not only conquered, but improved land, implementing systems of education, city grids and planning, and were critical in the shaping of culture and ideals. RMREG is the personification of action and pride.

What is the importance of being in Commercial Real Estate?
As a continuous push for equity across all industry sectors, CRE is an industry which were right over 2% minority is represented. This means there is opportunities for growth in the market. It is opportunity to create a platform for professionals seeking a professional home that will create, support and nurture personal and professional growth. It is important that we create the firms that can support our own inclusion.

What is a tenant representative and business Broker?
Tenant Representation is a brokerage type in CRE who represents the interest of business owners and entrepreneurs seeking to create and implement a site selection strategy for engaged clients. We are key in assisting and facilitating a search for the right office, retail, land or investment sale for the buyer side. Another option for business owners seeking Entrepreneurship is to assist clients locating turnkey businesses for sale. Not all aspects of Entrepreneurship is from ground up. There are great business for sale that helps minimize the risk, and this is Business Brokerage.

Why is a tenant broker and business broker needed?
Often, business owners and entrepreneurs on the tenant and buyer side, enter into a situation of seeking to lease or acquire a business, without needed representation in the transactions. More often, the seller or landlord has a representative who acts as a facilitator on their behalf. So, tenants are left going into battle under armed. Tenant Brokers level the playing field, often helping the client obtain more favorable terms in transactions.

What does the future look like for the company? What’s new and evolving for the firm?
The future is bright for our emerging firm. As we continue to add personnel with various disciplines, it is allowing us to expand horizontal and organically. We are moving into broker development where we have compiled an elite team of contractors, Architects, engineers, and analysts that allows us to evaluate Boutique office, to mix use opportunities on adaptive rehab projects. We have also become DBE/MBE Certified which opens more opportunities to work with government municipalities and corporate entities. We couldn’t be more excited about the unlimited potential of our firm.

What are some of the causes and organizations have RMREG aligned with in the community?
We are honored to have worked with StartME-Atlanta, in a mentor capacity, assisting emerging entrepreneurs and business owners, with Emory Business School of Goizueta. We have also created outstanding relationships through the Leadership DeKalb Program through our Broker. We are seeking opportunities to continue our community outreach through the Atlanta Commercial Board as well as the GA Association of Business Brokers.
