Meet Jassmine Riley of Royal Intervention

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jassmine Riley.

Hi Jassmine, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I grew up in a home full of love with my parents and older brother. My parents instilled the values of faith, family, and education, values I still hold today. My faith has carried me throughout every aspect of my life. From small-town life to city living, those values keep me grounded. As a child, I understood the power of my voice, and you better believe I used it. When it came to standing up for what I believed in, I have always been vocal and unrelenting. So, my writing and speaking gifts were developed very early. I started speaking and performing dramatizations in my church home, then school, and other organizations. My undergrad education journey began with the goal of obtaining a JD to further the use of my voice for good, but over the years, that dream has been deferred. I did obtain my undergrad in Communication Studies and Political Science and my Master’s in Integrated Marketing Communications. However, for now, I use my voice in delivering workshops and speaking engagements.

In high school, I founded the nonprofit In Spite Of for 9th–12th grade girls in my hometown, Evergreen, AL, and that organization is still helping build young ladies in my community today. Founding that organization helped prepare the way for me to later open Royal Intervention, LLC in 2019, Royal Estates, LLC in 2021, and Royal Haus of Wellness, LLC in 2025.
I am currently between Georgia and Alabama, so two of my businesses are in both states. However, Royal Haus of Wellness is currently only in Alabama.

I am who I am because of my relationship with Christ, my parents, and my support system. My schedule can be daunting and it’s my parents, brother, and his family who keep me steady and make sure I eat and don’t forget to laugh and enjoy life. There are countless things I can say altered my course to place me where I am, but there is only one verse to truly explain it: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” — Romans 8:28

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have this saying, “Preparation. Fight. Elevation.” because I’ve learned that no level of elevation comes without a few bumps in the road. A lesson I learned early in life when struggling with test anxiety as an adolescent. Then, I learned again over countless seasons of my life. Most notably, during my career journey. Enduring the too common cycle of graduating from college with zero job opportunities in sight, I was crushed. Although, thanks to a now dear friend, it didn’t last long. That season helped me to realize how important it was to remain flexible with my planning. Marry the goal, not the plan.

Health was another struggle I’ve encountered on my journey. Months after relocating from Alabama to Georgia in 2016, I had a colorectal cancer scare, a scare that has forever altered the way I see wellness and nutrition. Ultimately, leading me to a vegetarian lifestyle. This November will be nine years since I’ve eaten meat.

Also, layoffs when working in the advertising industry. I was laid off twice due to downsizing. A year after purchasing my first home, I was laid off and wasn’t sure if I should stay in Atlanta or return home to Alabama. Following my faith, I moved, and from that move, my second business was birthed and has continued to grow since. So, a setback to the flesh but a setup orchestrated by God.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Royal Intervention, LLC started off as a way for me to release snippets of my writing. Every day on Facebook and Instagram, I would post quotes to uplift, inspire, and encourage. I officially incorporated in 2019. We began selling Royal Keys, a deck of inspirational cards, and an inspirational planner which incorporated finance, faith, and personal goal mapping. Over time, we have grown into a communication and marketing agency. We focus on building soft skills through workshops: Communication 101, Time Management, Conflict Resolution, Emotional Intelligence, etc. Our signature offer is our Cultivating Your Vision workshop. During the workshop, we walk aspiring and current founders through analyses that help shape personal and business growth and sustainability. During the CYV workshop, we cover everything from personal schedules and priorities to business offerings and marketing strategies for each offer. Beyond our workshops, we offer marketing audits and implementation plans, and graphic design.

What sets us apart from other traditional communication and marketing companies is our ability to bridge the two industries and focus on personal development. Typically, personal development is seen as something completely different from business. However, when you’re first starting, it’s almost impossible to separate the two. If you haven’t built personal discipline in finances, credit, mental health, physical health, and so many other areas, building a successful business is doable, but either you or that business will not be sustained. This is why we take personal development so seriously early on with our clients because the goal is to have a successful business to scale and sell or pass down for generations. Your business is only as good as you are until you are able to hire, delegate, and outsource.

This is a tough one because there are two things about the business that makes me smile equally. The first is our organic growth and word of mouth marketing. My digital pressence sometimes makes me shame and really needs an uplift. However, our clients remain solid and refer us because we do the real work and go above and beyond for them. The second is the growth of the clients who have worked with us. Often, we get founders who have been sitting on ideas for years or who have started but have no structure. After working with us, they go on to successfully launch or restructure their programs, nonprofits, and businesses. We’ve seen clients go from confused to confident, from ready to close their business to expanding.

Every offering from Royal Intervention puts the person before the business. Therefore, we will work with you to ensure the workshops you choose are the right fit for your organization. We will also be honest and would rather not take you on as a client if you aren’t personally in a place to sustain your business. I believe in community and will be here to help you through every part of your journey.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
To be honest, I live with the mindset that variables are going to change. The industry will always be dynamic and constantly evolving into another version of itself, the same as people. I make it my duty to stay informed about the industry, but I try not to hyperfixate on every nuance. Instead, I focus on our offers and make sure that they evolve into different, better, innovative variations of themselves and ensure alignment with our core vision and long-term strategy.

We know that AI is rising, and we are embracing those changes for workflow and efficiency. However, the industry is actually shifting towards where we are already positioned: more personalization and community building. With AI rising, there will be an increasing need for community. We’ve seen how cell phone usage has disconnected us physically, and the advancement of AI is unfortunately set to follow that same trend. So, we have positioned ourselves to help people and businesses build their communication skills and create community to set them apart from their AI-backed competition. Most importantly, we help them understand the value of owning that community data and directing traffic to their owned platforms and events instead of those created by other parties.
