Hi Jill, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Forget Me Knot Weddings–Events, LLC was founded from a place of love, resilience, and a deep desire to create meaningful moments that last a lifetime.

While many know me as a wedding planner and coordinator, my foundation began long before weddings.

I am a nurse by trade and have served in the medical field for over 30 years. Nursing taught me how to stay calm under pressure, think quickly, lead with compassion, and manage moving parts with precision — skills that translate seamlessly into wedding and event coordination. When emotions are high and timelines matter, experience and composure make all the difference.

What began as a passion for helping family and friends bring their special occasions to life quickly grew into something much bigger. I discovered that I didn’t just love beautiful details — I loved being the calm in the chaos, the steady presence behind the scenes, and the person couples could trust with one of the most important days of their lives.

But Forget Me Knot is more than just a wedding planning company.

It was inspired by the strength and determination of my late mother — a woman who taught me the importance of love, commitment, and cherishing memories. The name “Forget Me Knot” carries deep meaning: a reminder that while moments pass, the memories we create should never be forgotten.

As the business grew, so did the vision.

What started as day-of coordination expanded into full planning, partial planning, event styling, vendor sourcing, officiant services, bar service through Petals & Pour, and floral collaborations through Timeless Petals. Through strong partnerships — including Vintage Charm Rentals Corp and The Vendor Key — Forget Me Knot became more than a service. It became a curated experience.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
In the early days of Forget Me Knot, I remember coordinating a wedding where I was not only managing vendors and timelines — I was also learning, in real time, how to run a business. I had built a strong foundation from 30+ years in nursing and medical sales, but transitioning into the wedding industry meant proving myself all over again.

There were moments of self-doubt — adjusting pricing, refining contracts, and establishing boundaries — all while wanting to give every client more than they expected.

But just like in healthcare, I leaned into preparation, structure, and calm leadership. Those early challenges didn’t discourage me — they sharpened me. They taught me that success isn’t just about beautiful décor; it’s about confidence, clarity, and consistency.

And that’s what built Forget Me Knot into the company it is today.

As the founder of Forget Me Knot Weddings–Events, LLC, I specialize in wedding planning, coordination, and intentional event design that blends structure with creativity. My work is rooted in calm leadership, detailed timelines, and curated styling that ensures every celebration is both beautiful and flawlessly executed.

With over 30 years in the medical field as a nurse, along with experience in healthcare sales, I bring a unique balance of compassion, organization, and negotiation skills to the wedding industry. I am known for remaining composed under pressure, managing complex logistics, and building strong, licensed and insured vendor relationships.

In addition to leading Forget Me Knot, I serve as part of the in-house coordination team at The Venue at Cottonwood Farms in North Georgia. There, I help oversee wedding-day management, vendor collaboration, and seamless execution within one of the region’s most scenic mountain-view venues.

I specialize in full-service coordination, venue partnerships, vendor sourcing, and elevated design experiences. I am most proud of building a business grounded in professionalism, integrity, and heart — expanding into strategic venue collaborations and curated vendor programs that support both couples and industry partners.

What sets me apart is the balance I bring: creativity paired with clinical-level organization, empathy paired with strong leadership, and elegance paired with execution. I don’t just design beautiful weddings — I lead them with confidence and care from planning to “I Do.”
