Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayla Reese Stewart.
Hi Kayla, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
A little over a year ago, I relocated to College Park, Georgia. The journey to get here was a true test of both my faith and my patience. I arrived feeling uncertain and, at times, intimidated. I didn’t know anyone, and I had convinced myself that I would be rejected—that I wasn’t enough.
What I discovered, however, was completely different from what fear had led me to believe. People were waiting for me to simply open my heart and step into the assignment God had given me. Through seasons of fasting, prayer, and seeking God’s strategy, He faithfully showed me how to overcome every obstacle and silence every lie.
Being new to a region can be intimidating. There are moments of uncertainty, unfamiliarity, and questions that seem to have no immediate answers. Yet I carried a clear word from the Lord: Go and plant a church. That word became my anchor.
This journey has taught me that not every question will be answered, and not every step will make sense in the moment. Sometimes faith simply means allowing God to be God. Trusting Him is not always easy, and obedience is rarely comfortable. It requires holding on to what He first spoke, even during seasons when His voice seems quiet, and continuing to follow Christ with confidence that His direction has not changed.
I’ve learned that faith is not built by having all the answers—it is built by trusting the One who does.
I recently released my second book titled Teach Me How To Pray. This book is a handy guideline yo prayer.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
This journey has required me to surrender daily and at times, even weekly. There have been moments when I wanted to quit, questioned the process, and wrestled with discouragement. Yet having the right people in my life those who continually remind me of the weight of my assignment, the impact of what I carry, and the purpose for which God sent me has made all the difference. Their encouragement has strengthened my faith, renewed my perspective, and helped sustain me through the process of becoming.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I have been in ministry over 22 years. I mentor and build people. I assist individuals and families with healing and growth beyond their brokenness. I have mentored over 500 individuals in ministry, business, and through life. What sets me apart is I emphasize discipleship over inspiration. I recurring focus is helping believers mature in Christ, not just experience emotional moments. I teach consistently center on spiritual growth, stewardship, character, and becoming true disciples. I am most proud of the souls I see transformed through consistent pouring of Christ and accountability. What do I want the readers to know about my brand, offering and service? I am Dr. Kayla Reese-Stewart, an apostolic leader, Bible teacher, a mentor/counselor, and disciple-maker with a passion for seeing people transformed through the truth of God’s Word. My calling is to help believers move beyond simply attending church to becoming mature disciples of Jesus Christ who know God’s voice, understand His Kingdom, and live with purpose.
My brand is rooted in one mission: raising mature disciples who transform lives, families, churches, and communities through the Kingdom of God.Assisting others with understanding knowing “I AM THE NEW NORMAL” I believe transformation happens when people not only hear God’s Word but also apply it in their everyday lives.
I have also opened several business to employee individuals to build their life. One most recent is a cleaning/ janitorial company. Using cleaning to pray over homes to bring peace and Christ centered homes.
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory is going on vacation with my family. I have a large family, every summer my grandparents would take all 18 grandkids to the beach h for several days. Just being together was priceless.
