Meet Kawanna Bailey of Kiki’z Passion LLC in Lawrenceville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kawanna Bailey.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Today, I started the Next New BIG Chapter.
Why I am a Baker.

I’m a baker because I love the smiles and happiness that sweet treats bring. There is nothing more precious than to see a child smile while eating a cookie. I am a baker because I was inspired by my grandmother and mother, both who have shown me special techniques and secret flavors. They both always told me that I can do anything that I set my mind to! I am a baker because I love being able to bring my sweet touch to the community by bringing a little sweetness with my treats and creating smiles and happiness. I dream of having my own bakery/cafe one day, seeing my customers walking into my home-like establishment to enjoy a cup of coffee or hot tea with my fresh baked goods.

Kiki’z Story

Kiki’z Passion started by accident. But it all started so many years ago when I sat in my Grandmother’s and Mother’s kitchens while they baked and I watched and learned the craft and how to put my passion and love into baking. Fast forward many years, and I started by preparing treats just for my family and friends for holidays and family events. Many of these family and friends told me I should bake for others. They also shared my cakes and treats with their friends and family. As my cakes and treats were shared with more people and everyone truly seemed to enjoy them, more people began to approach me about making cakes and treats for their events. I begin to sell to family, friends, and other people in my area and community. The first holiday season I made over a dozen cakes. So, what began as a cake, cupcakes or cookies every now and then has now progressed to baking full time from my home kitchen. I now have a large number of repeat customers, who’are in love with Kiki’z. I have even earned a commercial contract preparing fresh cakes 3 times a week for Loretta’s Country Kitchen in Oakwood, Georgia.

I’m an at-home baker, wife, and a mother! I have been baking for over 18 years. My passion for baking was passed down to me from my grandmother and mother! I love to see people smile when they get sweet treats from Kiki’z Passion Bakery. My favorite thing is the feeling I get when I see little kids eyes filled with so much excitement when I bring them cake pops, cookies, or cupcakes! I absolutely LOVE the aroma of cakes, cookies, and pies! My favorite aroma is from carrot cake! When I am baking carrot cakes, the aroma fills the air and sets off all my neighbors baking alarms!
