Hi Kris & Kalia, thank you so much for sitting down with us again. For folks who might have missed our initial interview, can you start by briefly introducing yourself?
We are a husband & wife photography team specializing in weddings, events, and portraiture. We thoroughly enjoy what we do as well as providing our customers with high-quality digital images as memories to last a lifetime.
Can you give us a brief history of your journey that got you where you are in photography today?
So we began taking pictures of each other sometime before 2015 as just hobbyists. In 2018, we got the chance to shoot some events and weddings for family and friends. After receiving such good feedback, we had to consider taking our hobby seriously, and here we are today!
What makes you great at what you’re able to do?
We’d like to think we’re great at what we do because we go above and beyond to provide great quality images and exceptional customer service to everyone we come into contact with. We also make sure we go above and beyond to communicate with you effectively before, during, and after a photoshoot with us.
How would you define the creative culture in Atlanta today?
We admire the work of all the different creatives on the scene in ATL. We’ve also had the satisfaction of working with a lot of them, and it’s always a good time. We all get to come out, learn from each other and leave with amazing content. It’s effortless to get out and network in the current creative culture here in ATL. We suggest all creatives get out and collaborate more than competing; it’s how we all win in the end.
What gear did you start with on your journey, also what changes did you make to it and why?
When we started as hobbyists, we both had the Canon Rebel T6i and kit lenses, and although we stretched the capabilities of that camera until it was time for an upgrade, it was an essential piece in our growth. Over time we discovered different brands and camera bodies and how companies made some cameras specifically greater in one area than others. After trying other brands in different situations, that’s when we landed on the best brand for us, Fujifilm.
What kind of impact do you want your work to have?
We always want to amaze our customers with our creativity, so we love the anticipation that builds up before we get deliver photos. We always try to capture moments so perfectly, and it’s always great when customers get their photos and they get to remember the good time they had with the people they love.
With your determination to the craft of photography where do you see it taking you in the future?
Our determination to photography has gotten us where we are today, and we are grateful for that alone, especially knowing where we started. However, we like to stay present in the moment, but we know if we keep putting in the work like we’ve been doing, there’s nothing but a bright future ahead of us.
