Hi Kyla, thank you so much for sitting down with us again. For folks who might have missed our initial interview, can you start by briefly introducing yourself?
My name is Dr. Kyla Lurry, I am the CEO and founder of KylaNicole, LLC. My brand is committed to personal and professional development. I not only assist individuals with the processing of their traumatic life events. Our brand is a full-service company that offers various forms of Coaching, Process & HR Consulting, and Publishing services for new and existing authors. We help entrepreneurship of all industry’s create policies, streamline processes, publish works in their area of expertise and provide coaching for developing professionals in areas that are holding them back.
Can you give us more details on what you do?
I believe in doing all the things, of course, the things you love and are great at. One of the greatest privileges I have as a certified Trauma Coach – has been my ability to be a resource to those in need as they (individuals) process their traumatic life events. These traumatic events hold them back from advancing further in their life, career, relationships, and in business. Alongside that, our company helps every day entrepreneurs in any industry build their brand from a policy and process standpoint. I basically help businesses create order in their brand to increase profits by streamlining their brands. Our publishing company works with new and existing authors to publish their works making them an expert in their industry. We publish all works that are committed to inspiring, educating, and empowering people.
You’ve previously mentioned to us that business policies and laying the foundation for your business is more important than profits – can you talk to us about why you have that view?
Sure, because anyone can make money but sustaining a business requires a real sense of structure. As a business owner, it’s important that the business runs efficiently and effectively – that can only be done when you’ve outlined how your business will operate, in my expertise. It believes we have a duty to our clients and customers to give them an experience they can remember while providing them with excellent customer service. Laying your policies and foundation shows you thought about more than the sale but the overall experience the customer will have. You have anticipated the FAQ’s, the wants, needs, and structure of your brand. Grabbing a customer’s attention is easy – making them a recurring customer is different.
What’s new with KylaNicole – what are your upcoming projects & products?
Yes, thank you for asking! Of course, we’re in our 3rd season of my podcast: Pause and Press Play so tune into that. This season is on the black experience and I am so excited to continue sharing. We have also been working hard on developing a Trauma planner – I am pleased to say it’s done and it’ll be releasing for Pre-Order’s soon. This journal is so near to me as it deals with divorce, grief, finances, trauma, and abuse. It’s going to really help people find hope in the middle of it all.
How do you manage multiple businesses, family, and a social life?
Whew! You know, I manage it all of course by following my handy dandy calendar, but more so I try to be in season. It’s important that I maintain my harmony. I try to do things as I am led so If it’s not working, I have to revisit something. I am very conscious of what clients I take on and accept and I am very family orientated first. I put things in their proper place an I am often always considering the how to’s as it relates to business and family. Now, with my social life -I really follow the calendar. I try not to accept last minute events and outings as they add so much stress to my life. I also am an early riser – I need my time to gather myself.
What is your brand doing to support those impacted by COVID-19?
We’ve offered a multitude of free coaching sessions to provide relief to those in need. In addition, we’ve done some work at reduced rates for those clients we have that were impacted by COVID-19. Maintaining our business relationships are important and we understand that during these times – employers have felt hopeless concerning the pandemic. We’ve been able to step in and create policies to help with employees, payroll, and processes as it relates to pandemic related issues.
Alright, so before we go, how can our readers connect with you to learn more and show support?
