Today we’d like to introduce you to Lamar Fidel.
“Being the biggest and best YOU can be is the ultimate goal.” Born Lamar Fidel, Lambo Go is a producer and engineer from Atlanta, GA. After realizing he had an ear for music in middle school, Lambo joined the chamber orchestra to further train his ear and started making beats. Inspired by his friends and local artists around the city, he began his journey to create organic music for his fans.
When he’s not making music, you can find Lambo traveling around the world, immersing himself in different cultures. In fact, one of his favorite travel experiences was serving as a Deep Sea Diver for the US Army, where he completed Recon Missions to bring home fallen soldiers from the Vietnam War. “The deepest I’ve been in the water is 200 ft!”
Lambo prides himself on his ability to create art and help others do the same. His favorite musical accomplishment thus far is using what he knows to develop other people into more confident artists. In the future, he hopes to snag every industry accolade he can and eventually transition into film and video games.
Lambo has a supercruise cadence mixed with amazing pace, control, and energy. He sounds like he’s locked in with his vocal production and his actual production. Lambo has already locked in numerous collaborations throughout his career on the production side. Now it’s his chance to showcase what he can bring on the mic!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Every day there are obstacles and struggles. My mother and brother passed away this year, so that’s definitely one of my biggest challenges. Staying strong for my family because they are all hoping my dreams come true.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an Independent Producer/Artist. I make everything from scratch on the production side and writing side. I am an audio engineer for multiple studios around Atlanta. What sets me apart is that I have a more dynamic range of music and influence. I can create sounds that no one has ever created. I am heavily involved in the process of sound design, field recording, and foley. So I usually have a different approach rather than the average loop producer. The proudest moment Is my father bumping my music… Because he wouldn’t if he wasn’t good enough lol. My family really enjoys it! They’re surprised how good it is.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success is learning from continuous failure. No one hardly ever gets it right the first time.
