Hi Leanna, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
I created The Leather Phoenix back in May of 2019 while I was on maternity leave looking for ways to bring in income while also letting my creativity thrive- so TLP was born. My brand brings purpose through purses. I pride myself on being a sustainable + recyclable brand while also pouring back into the community by donating a portion of every single sale to Out of Darkness. Out of Darkness is a Christian non-profit ministry that rescues and restores women + children affected by trafficking in the Atlanta area. So thanks to everyone of you, we are working to end modern day slavery one purchase at a time!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s definitely been a long road coming! I was working a full time job in property management then would have to work on bags once my son would go to sleep after working a 9hr shift. I would be up until 2 am most nights working on bags. I even was working on bags until 4am the night before my wedding.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I create custom Louis Vuitton bags with leather embellishments (fringe, braiding, turquoise + other natural stones made into a leather inlay, custom leather straps with fun designs) and create accessories out of bags that are unable to be salvaged. I offer unbeatable craftsmanship at competitive prices.
