Today we’d like to introduce you to Lyric` B.

Lyric` B

Lyric`, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Yes, thank you guys for having me back yo! I’m thrilled we were finally able to sit down & do this again. So yeah, reality & unscripted TV kind of just fell in my lap along my journey, evolving in the entertainment business ya know? It wasn’t something I set out to do or had on the vision board. We actually shot Season 2 of Bossip Fresh Cuts roughly 8 months after my ex fiancee’s passing. I’d received a call from my agent regarding a TV show similar to The Voice on NBC but for Atlanta she thought I should do. She said the music mentors & judges would consist of Kandi Burruss, Zonnique of the OMG Girlz & an editor from Bossip. My agent begged me to do it & told me it would be a great career move since falling off the radar. I booked the gig, made it a few rounds on the show & pretty much forgot all about it after taping until the premiere. I know that sounds odd but I really wasn’t in the most sober or sain mental space around that time. As a musician you get used to moving from one thing to the next. Six months later, an entire new year I’m on TV, I’m in blogs & calls are really coming in to book Lyric` B for this event, that show, this radio interview. My team & I capitalized off of the momentum as it related to the music. So it being almost a decade later, stepping back into the reality TV world space & on a broader scale? It’s wild, I’m a little nervous but more excited than anything! My previous show was more competitive where this go round filming will be more personable, green screens & telling more of my story.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I learned that if you don’t have producer or executive producer credit or even own your IP that you can be edited any type of way on TV. I wasn’t prepared for that, I wasn’t prepared for chopped & screwed viral videos of myself to circulate the internet not truthfully showing my skill but mocking & making fun of it. Kyle from the legendary r&b group Jagged Edge told me ,” Aye keep your chin up, it’s yours! ” “You got it so the hate comes with the territory just as much as the love do.” So I’ve learned to take it in stride & not waver in my calling despite the name calling behind my back & smiles to my face.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I was recently held at gun point. I’ve been in a abusive relationship for a while now. I’ve been denied access to certain stages because I wasn’t a part of certain clicks & didn’t kiss the helps ass. I really only receive the support I’ve needed from family when dollar signs are involved. But due to rising above the hate & low vibrations with sincerity of heart, I still made it to center stage. I still find myself in rooms some feel I’m unworthy.  Still mentioned in millionaires conversations & offered major opportunities. The spirit really does keep me protected so long as I stay connected.  I hope my life & story really does keep people up lifted & inspired to prevail despite the obstacles. That’s what I’m hoping to show on my new show I’m starring in 2026. My authenticity & vulnerability.  I think people have confused the persona Lyric`B with the heart of Lyric`. So this should be an interesting ride.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Never give up. Never respond to opposing energies. Let your faith be your strength & assurance you can manifest anything you desire. Know the power you possess & never fear executing it. Remember you live once, don’t be shy, live loud.
