Meet Mike Rae Anderson of Metropolitan Area of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mike Rae Anderson.

Hi Mike Rae , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I found my gift as a wrter/Actor/Producer during a dark time of my life. As a teenager I found myself in jail facing the Death penalty plus life plus 60 years due to a serious of unfortunate events. I took a plea bargain for life to escape being executed. While inside I became a model inmate while writing stage plays and producing them and participating in talent shows as well. I served 17 years in prison and the Department of Corrections decided to parole me in 2008. After spending 5 years on parole and being terminated in NC I decided to venture out into the Film industry via Atlanta where my nephew William was located. From that point on it only went up.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It Has been rough. Financially and hearing no’s in auditions but it’s all worth it.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a published author of 3 books. I self produced my own Biopic. I never compromise my principles as an actor. I complete everything I begin. At 53 I just graduated from Georgia State University with honors with a degree in Film and Media.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
My Son. He fulfills my purpose as a man.
