Meet Nicole Mack

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Mack.

Hi Nicole, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I Am Nicole Mack Music! I am a native of both Fort Lauderdale & Tallahassee, Florida. With God’s help; I became a gifted, creative, and most of all a forward-thinking Music Director, Producer, Singer-Songwriter, Arranger, and Musician. I’m the founder and CEO of JAFU Entertainment, Diamond Jukebox Sample and Loop Packs, and Jukebox Junkie Apparel. I’m also owner of private music studio Mack Trax Lab. In today’s male-driven music industry, it seems as if female producers are few and far between. I wanted to change this reality with my own originality, consistent creativity, and the ability to mold and shape my music into whatever my soul allowed. I began my music career at a very young age. I started singing at three years old and playing the piano at five years old. I’m a self-taught musician, blessed to have “perfect pitch hearing.”

As I matured, I developed the God-given ability to song-write, arrange, compose, play the organ, (lead and bass guitar a little), alto saxophone, and drums. Throughout the years, I worked within church and secular settings as a Director of Music, Minister of Music, Bandleader, Choir Director, Lead Musician in both Church bands, and R & B, Soul, Pop, Hip Hop, Rock, Alternative Bands. I most recently created my own weekly content on Instagram called “Late Night Studio Vibez, Sunday Service Vibez, Vocal Vibez, and Keyz & Coverz.” This has allowed me to connect with fans internationally and they enjoy my uniquely blended remixes of classics and current popular songs. I Am Nicole Mack Music formerly Mz. Maestro has worked as a guest musician for the Carnival Cruise ship “Pride,” where I traveled abroad to the Caribbean. In addition, I am currently the Music Director and keyboardist for the band Melan8’d Vibez and the all female band Vixen.

I’ve also served as a lead musician in the regionally successful stage play “Scandalous Hair,” FAMU’s Essential Theatre called “Change it Up 3” and a host of other musical productions in the Southeast region. I have also been a lead and backup vocalist in a host of ensembles, choirs, and various artists over the years. Lastly, I Am Nicole Mack Music has a lot of upcoming things in the pipeline for release.

My brand new website IamNicoleMackMusic.com, which will include my custom graphic tee’s sold online through my online store along with other upcoming products. Diamond Jukebox Vocal and Music loop packs is geared towards beatmakers, producers and artists. Jukebox Junkie Apparel, a clothing line that also is geared toward creatives and those that are connoisseurs of pop culture wear. Lastly, a new music series called “JAFU Live Sessions,” an online live music series that will feature myself and other indie artists. I am currently preparing for an upcoming EP showcasing all new music. You may check out my debut album “Introducing Mz. Maestro” on reverbnation.com/mzmaestro Featuring 12 original songs I produced, arranged, composed, and wrote. Stay tuned there’s more to come!!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Absolutely not! It has not been a smooth road. Like so many artists, it’s never easy. Some people are blessed with access to investors, unlimited resources, and all the right connections. Then, many artists have to work while making their dreams come true. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. But I can truly relate to having to work to see my dreams come to life. Obtaining consistent support, that’s another challenge. Many artists find themselves doing most of the legwork alone to make it to the next level. It seems that this is what being an “indie artist” is all about. Staying motivated, staying creative, changing with the times, staying true to yourself, remaining artistic, and being fearless are just a few things that many artists have gone through or will go through. I can relate to all of these!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I have several businesses listed below: CEO of JAFU Entertainment an indie entertainment company established in 2017. This sets me apart because I am a woman-owned entertainment business. It’s no secret that the entertainment industry is predominantly male run. Creating my own company gives me an advantage that I may not have had if I were signed to a traditional label. Jukebox Junkie Apparel: CEO/Creator of contemporary clothing apparel company with a pop culture flare. Our slogan; “Wear music and fashion collide.” Check out more at www.jukebox-junkie.com Diamond Jukebox Sample and Loop Packs: CEO/Creator of sample and loop pack series geared toward producers, beatmakers, DJs, Artists, Vocalists and Creatives alike. Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
The COVID-19 crisis helped me develop a greater sense of gratitude! So many people lost their friends and loved ones due to this horrible pandemic. I also feel that Covid helped me develop more creatively. Since everyone had to “be at home,“ I think that it sparked a worldwide new way of communicating, creating, and the birth of innovative ideas. For example, The Versus Music Series created to give fans an opportunity to see their favorite artists virtually. So Covid was not just medically or physically bad. It gave more attention to creatives everywhere. It allowed people to focus more on their families, and stay safe and get well. Overall I believe the crisis has promoted more attention to wellness, social distancing, and staying connected to one another, even if it is virtually.
