Meet Queen Jo

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Queen Jo.

Queen Jo, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Joetta Dugbo, Queen Jo preferably (@theequeen.jo). I arrived in the US at age 13 from Liberia West Africa, I am now a 30-year-old mother of 2 based in New York. I am a full-time entrepreneur.

A fashion designer by degree (@VAVA.FREE), self-taught hairstylist (@itsjehss.hair), and the co-owner of an African spice brand (@Liberian.spice).

I am currently working on an internet talk show with 2 other cohosts to lunch in May 2024 (@queen.teevee). I love being an entrepreneur I believe it is my calling. It brings me joy to do what I do.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve had trouble with production for my clothing, company and production for my spice brand.
