We are thrilled to be connecting with Ramon Gonzalez again. Ramon is the Founder of both THRIVE | Coworking and THRIVE | Initiative and is also a content partner. Content partners help Voyage in so many ways from spreading the word about the work that we do, sponsoring our mission and collaborating with us on content like this. Check out our conversation with Ramon below.
Hi Ramon, thank you so much for sitting down with us again. For folks who might have missed our initial interview, can you start by briefly introducing yourself?
My name is Ramon Gonzalez. I am a lifelong entrepreneur and a father of 3. Back in 2015 I launched THRIVE | Coworking and I have most recently launched a non – profit named THRIVE | Initiative.
What does the future of work look like to you in a post COIVD world?
I think the future of work will look different for different people. However, I do think that when and how you work will reflect employee desires much more than it ever has before. I do think that the narrative related to the death of office is overblown. People crave person-to-person interaction and creativity is often born from such interactions. Both of the aforementioned assertions are backed up by plenty of research. Ultimately, we believe that those who have the flexibility to work outside of the office they will do so in a variety of places such as coffee shops, coworking spaces, home, and their main office.

How can coworking space elevate corporate culture?
It is very hard for most companies to commit sufficient attention and resources towards making sure employees are happy. Organizations tend to be focused on objectives that are easily quantifiable and are relevant to financial performance in a direct, or at least in a clearly identifiable way. On the other hand, coworking spaces focus the majority of their energy on making sure that the people in their space are happy and want to be there. We create engaging spaces to work in, put together fun events, help people get connected to like-minded people, and attend to pretty much any need of the member.
What sets Thrive apart from other coworking companies?
For some reason, we have been able to attract really great people to work at THRIVE. They create such a warm and welcoming environment for the people that work at the space. We all really do care about everyone that works at THRIVE and invest time in getting to know the people who make THRIVE their work home. Another thing that separates us is that our spaces are uniquely designed. They just have a personality to them that people tend to appreciate. We are also located in walkable suburban downtown areas and we have found that a lot of people love the amenities that are located near to our spaces.

What are the next steps for you and the Thrive brand?
THRIVE is both growing geographically and growing in its ability to be a positive force in the community. We are launching new spaces in downtown Roswell and downtown Duluth. We are also working on multiple other locations and hope to have those negotiations wrapped up in the coming months. What we are most excited about is the launch of our non- profit the THRIVE | Initiative. We are expecting to roll that out in the spring. It is a truly innovative way to bring the community together to support local businesses and our neighbors in need. Details on how it works can be found at JoinThriveInitiative.org
