Today we’d like to introduce you to Saade Shakoor.
Hi Saade , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve always been fascinated by the way a single photo can make someone relive a moment. That curiosity turned into a camera in my hands, and before I knew it, photography became more than a hobby, it became how I connect with people and tell stories. I taught myself through trial and error, saying yes to opportunities, and constantly pushing myself to create something better than my last shoot.
The journey hasn’t been perfect, but every setback has sharpened my eye and strengthened my purpose. Today, I capture everything from intimate portraits and live events to concerts and brand content. As I continue growing The Fifth Frame and Shawtycaptures, my goal is simple: create work that people feel, not just see, while building a career that allows me to tell stories around the world.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been building a creative business while balancing other jobs and responsibilities. There were times when opportunities felt inconsistent, and I had to keep creating even when things weren’t moving as quickly as I hoped. I’ve also gone through personal losses and stressful periods that made it harder to stay motivated. But those experiences taught me resilience, pushed me to keep improving my craft, and reminded me why I love photography in the first place. Looking back, the struggles have been a big part of what shaped both my work and my mindset.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in portraits, events, concerts, and lifestyle photography, with a focus on capturing authentic moments and telling stories through my work. I’m most proud of building my brand, ShawtyCaptures, from the ground up. What sets me apart is my ability to make people feel comfortable in front of the camera, allowing me to create images that feel genuine, personal, and timeless.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is to stay consistent, even when progress feels slow. I’ve also learned that the moments that feel the most awkward or cringe-worthy are often the ones that should be shared, they’re usually what people connect with the most. Growth comes from putting yourself out there, trusting the process, and continuing to show up for your vision.
