Meet Simone Clarke of Clarke CPAs & Advisors

Today we’d like to introduce you to Simone Clarke. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Simone A Clarke, CPA, Founder and Managing Member of Clarke CPA’s & Advisors, LLC has worked in the both the public and private accounting sectors. Ms. Clarke has always considered herself to be a educator and a leader. In her beginning years in public accounting Ms. Clarke was acknowledged by upper management to have exceptional management skills whether it be with clients or colleagues. Ms. Clarke’s reasonableness is the game changer for acquiring new clients, maintaining current client satisfaction levels. This transcended as her colleagues and staff loved her enthusiasm and approach to teaching and leading her teams.

Actively involved with “Women Can”, a female organization dedicated to encouraging the growth and expansion of successful woman in the corporate world. As the President of the Women Can Book Club, she organized meetings for influential women on a common forum to openly discuss challenges of women in the corporate world.

During her career, Ms. Clarke climbed the corporate ladder and left public accounting as an Audit Manager and later retired from private accounting holding a title of Assistant Vice President over financial accounting reporting for a Fortune 500 Global Company. In her role as Assistant Vice President, she represented her previous firm as the main point of contact and provided clients and their investors with annual and quarterly financial reports. Managed acquisitions and on boarding of new assets while ensuring compliance with AML and other sanctions. Services included preparing management fee calculations, investor capital notices and investment return calculations as well as various ad hoc reports. As AVP she would review and approve all equity transactions, money movements, and trades in accordance with established guidelines that exceed to $100K up to $10million, while managing a real estate investment trust with net assets of $5 billion.

Ms. Clarke has been responsible for planning and overseeing financial statement and governmental audits in various industries such as Real Estate, Construction, and Manufacturing industries to name a few.

Ms. Clarke recently joined national television show, It’s a New Day Show as a Co-host. Due to the overwhelming response Ms. Clarke will host her own Financial Principles segment, both shows which will air on the Impact Television Network reaching over 93.5 million homes nationally and internationally. In addition, Ms. Clarke Co-hosts It’s a New Day Show radio segment which can be heard every Thursday on WCEG Talk Radio, reaching over 3.5 million homes nationally and internationally.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Making a decision to leave corporate America with a comfortable salary was a challenge in itself, this decision was a huge scary one but nothing worthwhile is easy. There have been plenty of challenges I’ve faced launching my first business. However, I am the first small business owner in my family, and it is my job to persevere and show my siblings what is possible. The struggles of just being a small business owner and fulfilling multiple roles from marketing struggles, last minute cancellations, establishing a clientele, to determining a fair price for my services has been an obstacle. However, I haven’t faced adversity alone, with the help, love and support of those close to me I was able to bring my vision for my business to reality.

We’ve been impressed with Clarke CPAs & Advisors, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Clarke CPA’s & Advisors is a boutique accounting firm that will assist taxpayers and businesses with their tax, accounting and consulting needs. We love equipping our clients with the knowledge necessary to confidently make well-informed financially smart decisions.

Business Launch will be on 12/10, and the new website is up and running.

What are your plans for the future?
We are having a celebration and ribbon cutting ceremony for our new location this December. We are located in the Chastain Area and we are really excited for our office opening!

We are also currently updating our website for a better client interface and integration with client portals. This will assist clients with the virtual tax preparation process.

We are also growing our team, so we are extremely excited and looking forward to the coming tax season.
