Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Rivers.

Taylor Rivers

Hi Taylor, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Well, for starters, I’m 28 years old, happily married with two incredible, strong willed sons that keep my heart full and me on toes. My kids have been my biggest inspiration for diving deep into living a healthy lifestyle and my husband has been my greatest supporter as my life and gym partner. I started my fitness journey during the pandemic shutdown when I was also six months pregnant with our second son. I decided to start then because I wanted to try to have a VBAC, and my doctor recommended that I find ways to stay active through the pandemic. But after I gave birth, unfortunately via C-section again, I found myself anxious to get back to exercising. Once I was cleared to, I started doing home workouts again until I felt comfortable enough to get a gym membership. From there, I really started learning through experience until I decided to start learning the science behind balanced nutrition and exercise. I eventually became a certified nutrition coach and personal trainer and began training my clients through my signature online program. It wasn’t until we decided to relocate to Georgia with my husband’s job that I put my coaching career on hold and took a few month’s break from the gym lifestyle myself. Once we were moved and settled I was eager to get back in the gym and started training again myself. While I haven’t gotten back to coaching online or in person, I’ve dedicated my Instagram to sharing what I’ve learned on my journey as well as tips and info to help others start their own journey with a solid foundation and continuously learning how to navigate and elevate their fitness.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I have had my share of trials and tribulations for sure. Between balancing a family, the struggles we faced relocating, and my own mental, physical and financial health, things haven’t always aligned with my goals and made it harder to reach them. I learned that even with a solid plan, things won’t always go the way we expect and we have to learn how use our obstacles to our advantage. Whether it’s them being learning experiences to avoid making the same mistakes over and over or to use them as fuel to push forward and come out stronger, I’ve come to believe that everything happens for a reason, and it’s up to us to either let them keep us down or to get back up and keep trying.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Since I haven’t gotten back to running my coaching business, I’ve built up my social media and have been able to work with the relevant brands that I love, creating content to promote the products that I use daily and generate income. Health and fitness is what I love, but as someone who couldn’t always afford a coach, I’ve been working to find ways to stay involved, give back, and help people who truly want the guidance but can’t afford to break the bank. My biggest goal is to help educate and inspire others to stop LEANING into their excuses and start LEARNING into the things they do have control over to better their lives through health and fitness.”-both of those should say “leaning into” and not learning.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that things don’t always go our way or the best way but that we are capable of overcoming our obstacles, and it’s up to us to keep trying and find a way to do so. Where there’s a will, there’s a way!
