Natalie Syjan on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Natalie Syjan. Check out our conversation below.

Natalie, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
For me, the most important quality is integrity.
Intelligence and energy both matter, but without integrity they lose their real value. In my work—whether it’s beauty, styling, or personal consulting—trust is the foundation of every relationship.

Integrity means alignment between words and actions. It means showing up consistently, taking responsibility, and making choices that reflect your values. A person with integrity uses their intelligence wisely and channels their energy into something meaningful and constructive.

So for me, integrity is the core quality that guides how I work, how I build relationships, and how I show up in the world.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Natalie Syjan, and I am a professional makeup artist, stylist, and beauty consultant with over a decade of international experience. I work at the intersection of beauty, personal transformation, and lifestyle, helping people not only look their best but feel aligned with who they truly are.

What makes my brand unique is the combination of my global background—Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Europe, and now the United States—and my deep understanding of both aesthetics and human psychology. I don’t just create makeup looks; I help people unlock confidence, identity, and self-expression.

Over the years I’ve worked with celebrities, designers, photographers, private clients, and production teams, and today I’m building a personal brand focused on “beauty psychology”—the idea that true beauty begins with inner clarity, self-respect, and personal growth. My mission is to guide people through transformation: their style, their mindset, and the way they show up in the world.

Currently, I am expanding my brand in the U.S. through personal styling, makeup artistry, and one-on-one consulting, helping clients discover the most powerful and authentic version of themselves.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship that most shaped how I see myself was my relationship with my mother. She was a strong, disciplined woman who taught me independence, resilience, and high standards from an early age. Watching her balance strength with elegance shaped my work ethic, my confidence, and the way I show up in the world. Her influence became the foundation of my personal values and the way I help others discover their own beauty and potential.

What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
One of the defining wounds of my life was having to be strong and independent long before I felt ready. Moving between countries, rebuilding my career from zero, and navigating difficult relationships shaped me deeply.

Healing came through self-reflection, personal growth, and creating a life aligned with my values. Today, I use that experience to help others — through beauty, styling, and personal consulting — to reconnect with their confidence and transform how they see themselves.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes — the public version of me is the real me. I’m naturally open, expressive, and transparent. I don’t hide behind walls or create unnecessary boundaries; instead, I focus on building genuine connections. What people see publicly is simply the same person I am in real life: sincere, warm, and fully present.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
One thing I understand deeply — which most people don’t fully realize — is that our lives are driven by the subconscious. We think we make conscious choices, but in reality we live according to internal programs formed by our past experiences, beliefs, and emotional patterns.

The moment you learn how to access and reprogram the subconscious, you gain the ability to transform your life in any direction you choose. This understanding has completely changed my own path, and it’s something I actively practice and teach through my work. Helping people shift their inner programming is one of the most powerful parts of what I do.
