Rising Stars: Meet Boshicu Page of Stone Mountain

Today we’d like to introduce you to Boshicu Page.

Boshicu, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My story really centers around connection, finding it, losing it, and choosing to return to it. I’ve always had a love for the arts and community. Growing up in theater, I found joy in storytelling and in creating spaces where people could feel something real. That passion stayed with me, even as I moved into professional roles in structured environments and began building skills in leadership, mentorship, and operations. Through it all, my faith has been a constant foundation guiding me and reminding me that my purpose is rooted in service to others.

Like many people, the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted that sense of connection. It was a time that challenged me spiritually as much as it did personally, pushing me to reflect on who I was and what truly mattered. One of the most defining moments in my journey came when I returned to Shakespeare Tavern after several years away. What started as a simple visit turned into something much deeper. It felt like a calling back to a space where faith, community, and creativity could all exist together. I began volunteering, helping wherever I was needed, whether in the house or behind the scenes, and I found a second family in the process. That experience re-grounded me not only in service and connection, but in trusting where God was leading me.

Since then, I’ve continued to build on that purpose through leadership roles, community initiatives, and event planning, particularly within gaming and nonprofit spaces. Each experience has strengthened my ability to lead with intention while staying rooted in authenticity and faith. Today, as I prepare to represent the United States internationally, I carry all of those experiences with me. My journey is not just about where I’ve been, but about how I use my voice now to reflect God’s love through service, to create spaces where others feel seen and valued, and to empower people to step fully into who they are.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, but each challenge has shaped me into who I am today. Along my journey, I’ve faced moments of uncertainty that tested me physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I’ve experienced health scares that forced me to slow down and reevaluate how I care for myself. I’ve walked through seasons where family members became ill, requiring me to show up in ways that demanded strength, patience, and compassion. I’ve also faced job loss, which challenged my sense of stability and pushed me to redefine how I view success and security.

There were times when everything felt uncertain at once, and I had to make a choice, to either become overwhelmed by those moments or to trust that there was purpose in the process. Through my faith, I found the strength to keep moving forward, even when I didn’t have all the answers. Those experiences taught me resilience, but more importantly, they taught me how to lead with empathy and grace, because I understand what it means to navigate difficult seasons.

Looking back, I wouldn’t describe my journey as easy, but I would describe it as intentional. Every challenge refined me, strengthened my faith, and deepened my commitment to serving others. It’s those very struggles that allow me to connect with people authentically today and to stand confidently in the purpose I’ve been called to walk in.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My work sits at the intersection of structure and service. Professionally, I have built my career in compliance, leave administration, and HR operations areas that require a deep understanding of regulations, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex situations with both accuracy and empathy. I genuinely enjoy compliance because it creates fairness, clarity, and protection for people, and I take pride in ensuring that processes are not only correct but also human-centered.

I specialize in managing leave of absence programs, disability claims, and workplace accommodations, often serving as a bridge between organizations and the employees they support. My background working on both the HR and third-party administrator sides has given me a well-rounded perspective, allowing me to anticipate challenges, communicate effectively, and build trust across different stakeholders.

Outside of my professional career, I extend that same commitment to service through community leadership and event planning, particularly in nonprofit and gaming spaces. Whether I’m organizing large-scale events, mentoring others, or volunteering, I am known for creating environments where people feel supported, included, and empowered to show up fully as themselves.

What I am most proud of is my ability to bring both structure and heart into every space I enter. What sets me apart is not just my technical knowledge, but the way I lead with intention, faith, and a genuine desire to serve. I don’t see compliance as just rules and regulations; I see it as a way to advocate for people, protect their experiences, and create systems that allow individuals and communities to thrive.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I was an imaginative and very determined child. I always had a strong sense of what I wanted, and I wasn’t afraid to go after it. Some might have called me stubborn, but in hindsight, it was really an early expression of persistence and conviction. When I set my mind on something, I would find a way to make it happen.

I also genuinely loved being around people. I was naturally social and drawn to group settings, whether that was school, theater, or community activities. I enjoyed the energy of being connected to others and often found myself observing how people interacted and how spaces could either bring people together or push them apart.

Even then, I think there were early signs of who I am today, someone who cares deeply about connection, communication, and making things work. Over time, that childhood determination has evolved into focused leadership and purpose, but the core has remained the same: I’ve always been someone who shows up fully, cares deeply, and isn’t afraid to push toward what I believe in.
