Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel John.
Hi Daniel, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was influenced by Music at a young age. With my Dad being a former reggae artist, I grew up listening to a lot of Reggae and Classical Music. It went anywhere from Michael Jackson to Bob Marley and back to Rod Stewart! Throughout Middle School and the beginning of High School, I played the saxophone for the concert band. I never thought about actually singing until 2017. I never looked back since.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I don’t think anything you work for will ever be a smooth ride. There have been times where I’ve been taken advantage of for my inexperience. However, I took them as learning experiences to further guide me in my career. It will make the goals I reach a lot more worth it!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a singer, songwriter, and recording artist that makes R&B, Pop, HipHop, and Reggae. I believe what sets me apart from others are the way that I write my music and melodic tones. It’s so important to keep the audience engaged while also having them listen to something that can relate and resonate with them.
What matters most to you? Why?
My parents matter the most to me. All their lives, they have helped mold me into the person I am together and it took many sacrifices to do so. I am forever grateful to them and want to make sure they are taken care of.
