Rising Stars: Meet London Mariya Glanton of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to London Mariya Glanton.

Hi London Mariya, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where I started my journey pursuing opportunities in commercial and print modeling. From an early age, I was drawn to the creative arts and loved the idea of using storytelling, expression, and creativity to connect with others.

As my passion for acting continued to grow, I knew I wanted to expand my opportunities, which ultimately led me to Atlanta. After relocating, I immersed myself in the industry by attending acting classes, networking events, and connecting with other creatives. Atlanta’s thriving film and television scene allowed me to learn, grow, and gain valuable experience while building relationships within the industry.

One of the most significant turning points in my life came when I became a first-time mom. Like many parents, my priorities shifted, and I chose to take a step back from acting and modeling to focus on motherhood. During that time, I embraced a new role as a “momager,” helping my son pursue modeling and acting opportunities of his own. Watching him receive bookings and experience the industry through fresh eyes has been incredibly rewarding.

Motherhood also inspired me to further explore my entrepreneurial side. I launched Lon’s Creations, an event planning and customized gifts business where I help create memorable experiences for clients through personalized gifts, celebrations, and special events. What started as a creative outlet quickly became something I genuinely love. There’s something special about bringing someone’s vision to life and being part of their most meaningful moments.

Today, I’m in an exciting season of life where all of my passions are coming together, by the grace of God. While continuing to grow Lon’s Creations and enjoying motherhood, I’ve stepped back into acting and modeling with a renewed sense of purpose and confidence. Every chapter of my journey—from Pittsburgh to Atlanta, from artist to entrepreneur, and from first-time mom to momager—has shaped who I am today. I’m excited to see where this next chapter leads and grateful for every experience that has brought me here.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I think that’s true for most journeys worth pursuing. Whether it’s acting, modeling, or entrepreneurship, there have been moments of uncertainty, rejection, and waiting. In creative industries especially, you hear “no” far more often than you hear “yes,” and if you’re not careful, those setbacks can make you question yourself.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is not to let rejection define my worth or my potential. I trust that God gave me these gifts for a reason, and that has helped me stay grounded during difficult seasons. Instead of focusing on closed doors, I’ve learned to focus on preparation, growth, and doing my part while trusting God with the outcome.

There were also challenges that came with becoming a first-time mom and balancing motherhood with my personal goals and dreams. Learning how to navigate both roles hasn’t always been easy, but it has made me stronger, more disciplined, and more intentional with my time.

Through it all, my faith has been my foundation. I’ve always believed that God can have your name spoken in rooms you’ve never entered and open doors you could never open on your own. That belief has kept me moving forward, even when I couldn’t yet see the bigger picture. Looking back now, I’m grateful not only for the victories but also for the challenges because they helped shape the woman, mother, entrepreneur, and creative I am today.

I wear several hats, and each one reflects a different part of who I am. I’m an actress and model, the owner of Lon’s Creations, and a proud mom.

Through Lon’s Creations, I specialize in event planning, customized gifts, and personalized experiences that help people celebrate life’s special moments. Whether it’s a proposal setup, bridal shower, birthday celebration, wedding details, or custom gifts, I love bringing a client’s vision to life and creating meaningful moments they’ll remember long after the event is over.

In addition to entrepreneurship, I have a passion for acting and modeling. I’ve worked in commercial and print modeling and continue to pursue opportunities in the entertainment industry. Storytelling, creativity, and connecting with people have always been at the heart of what I do, whether I’m in front of a camera or helping a client create a memorable experience.

What I’m most proud of is my ability to continue pursuing my dreams while embracing motherhood. Becoming a mom challenged me to grow in ways I never expected, and it inspired me to build opportunities not only for myself but also for my son. Watching him begin his own journey in modeling and acting has been incredibly rewarding.

I believe what sets me apart is my authenticity and the genuine care I bring to everything I do. I don’t just focus on creating beautiful events or memorable content—I focus on creating experiences that feel personal and meaningful. I want people to feel seen, heard, and valued. Whether I’m working with a client, collaborating on a creative project, or building relationships within the industry, I lead with passion, professionalism, and heart.

At the end of the day, I’m proud to be building a life that combines creativity, entrepreneurship, faith, and family, and I’m excited to continue growing in all of those areas.

What’s next?
Looking ahead, I’m excited about continuing to grow both my business and my craft. As an entrepreneur, I want to keep expanding Lon’s Creations, creating memorable experiences for clients, and finding new ways to bring creativity and personalization into every project I take on.

In the entertainment industry, I look forward to continuing my journey in acting and modeling while challenging myself to grow as an artist. I’m always learning, improving, and seeking opportunities that allow me to tell meaningful stories and connect with others through my work.

One of the things I’m most excited about is watching my son grow and seeing his unique gifts and talents shine. Being able to support and encourage him as he discovers his own passions has been one of the most rewarding parts of motherhood.

I’m also interested in exploring a new side of the entertainment industry by stepping behind the camera. I’d love the opportunity to learn more about directing and experience the creative process from a different perspective. I think understanding both sides of production would help me grow not only as a performer but also as a storyteller.

Overall, I’m looking forward to a future filled with growth, creativity, and new opportunities. I don’t know exactly what every chapter will look like, but I’m excited to continue walking in purpose, trusting God’s plan, and embracing whatever opportunities come next.
