Rising Stars: Meet Miiraahe of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Miiraahe.

Hi Miiraahe, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Music raised me. Music birthed me.
My mother is a singer, musician, and writer. Heard her sing my entire life.
Music perked my ears up. Literally growing up listening to gospel, pop, rap, rock, and found every other sub-genre throughout middle and high school you could think of to listen to. I focused on lyrics. Always trying to decode and understand what the artist was trying to convey. Puzzels riddled throughout songs, my 8 year old brain lovvvedd to figure out.

I truly believe that’s the main reason I fell in love with writing.
Funny enough, I’ve always been a writer. I started writing poetry in middle school. It evolved to rapping and songwriting. I would write everyday. I would practice on a YouTube type beat or the instrumental of my fav song at the time. My old phone is FILLED with memos of freestyles and songs.

During that time, I’d also write mini books…borderline scripts tbh. World building. These skills I developed, funneled into the foundation of my college career in music.

The story is in my music 🙂

“Everything is Everything”, (my baby), my first project was my “JUST DO IT” moment. It’s not perfect but to me it’s the best. It signifies faith, trust, and application of skill. I finally got out my head and made something purely ME.

“As Above” is my second project. Purely me but with a little more shaping (lol).
There are so many days I prayed to be where I am….its so surreal. It’s only going to get better.
(Even if it didn’t, and this is all I did I’d still be so proud of what I became.)

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Mental health has always been “the hill” for me. The biggest lesson from the beginning of my 20’s and late teens has been learning how to just do. I feared people’s perception of me. How I would look failing or being successful. I knew I couldn’t JUST be comfortable in my room, writing forever. My talent wasn’t going to survive that way.

It’s kinda backwards but my fear is attached to my success as well. I FEEL…I KNOW I’m going to succeed but the responsibility that comes with deciding music is the route I want to take is scary. So much comes with choosing to be an artist as a career.

You are literally working from Ground 0 to make a name for yourself. To prove to everybody why you deserve their attention, support, and time. Constant trial and error. You have to have thick skin to pursue this career. You have to build “KEEP GOING” into your psyche. That’s the only way you’re going to be able to last…

AND THEN you start doing all the fun stuff.

The hills aren’t so bad. Just hellllaaaa leg work.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a rapper, songwriter and content creator on the side!

My next magic trick 😉 is to evolve more as an artist. My YouTube channel (miiraahe) is my hub for my visual creativity. I love releasing mini movies/skits. I love showing people my inner world. Knowing how to entertain is a part of being a great performer/artist. Canva has SEEN me okay! I’ve made really cool posters and videos for myself.

My specialty is writing fooorrrrr surreee. I am known as The Magical Miss Miiraahe. My name encompasses so much for me. I take my writing very seriously. I write everything I put out. It’s a certain pride and honor I feel with that.

I am most proud of my journey and the community I continue to be inspired by along the way.

What sets me apart from others is my gift and how I use it. Nobody can be like me. Nobody has my brain. My gift is curated to my senses. I hone in on that and just go.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
Ima give y’all a checklist 👀
