Today we’d like to introduce you to Van Leer
Hi Van Leer, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I believe I was born to pull the greatness out of people. All my life I have been able to listen with heart not just my eyes and give that sage advice that people need to feel good about themselves. It started when I was 7 years old giving speeches in church and I have been inspiring people ever since. I love see people grow within themselves and also find that positive mental space to take on the world. That’s what I do – Make People Better!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
When times became hard for me I always tapped into my true GREATNESS!
I’ve been told it’s not failure we fear it’s success. When we’re successful, it appears we somehow deny our own greatness.
As I became more aware of what true success means to me, I realized a few things:
Recognizing our own greatness isn’t about boasting. It’s the fact that in order to achieve success without operating from fear we’ll have to step into ourselves and fully embrace the greatness we’re capable of cultivating and achieving in our lives.
Next I discovered:
To not be great because of one’s limiting beliefs is counterproductive to success.
These beliefs can hold you back from reaching your full potential if you think you’re not worthy. Your beliefs become a self fulfilling prophecy in our own minds and keeps us finding greatness and sharing with others.
Failure is not what it appears but success is not either. Success demands all out effort. Once we’re successful there could be trepidation we might not be able to sustain what we’ve created. Success is a full time job and once we’re successful..it’ll take everything we have to maintain that level of success…so the fear of this sometimes is greater then the actual success.
So by not going for the greatness of success…we limit ourselves in life. Success is not just success, it’s a way of thinking that allows freedom to be more than we’d ever expect.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?

How do you define success?
In order to define success we need to know success isn’t linear. It’s often a winding road with ups and downs, setbacks, and plateaus. While we may envision a straight path to our goals, the reality is much more complex.
Some think success is a person, place, or thing — a tangible destination we can all see in front of us. Seeing success in this way isn’t a flawed approach because there is no one way to be successful.
Personally there are no right or wrong answers when it comes to defining success. The important thing is to define success on your own terms and make sure you have a clear idea of what you’re working for.
Once you know what you’re aiming for, use that to define the trajectory of your life.
