Hi Shar , thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
I have been enjoying stepping into my creative mode. Just resting in being able to create and express myself through art has really helped give me the freedom of mind.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Shar Kearson-Baker, and I’m the founder of Shar Vanity Beauty — a luxury, yet accessible beauty brand created for women who love elevation, self-expression, and everyday glamour. What started as a passion for enhancing natural beauty has grown into a brand focused on high-quality lash extensions, magnetic lashes, and luxe lip products designed to make confidence feel effortless.
What makes Shar Vanity unique is our dedication to merging luxury aesthetics with real, wearable beauty. Every product is created with intention — from our signature ‘QT 5’ lash style to our high-shine lip glosses — giving customers that polished, timeless look without the overwhelm. My journey as a mom, creator, and entrepreneur shapes everything I do. I want women to feel empowered, beautiful, and seen, whether they’re stepping into a boardroom or running daily errands.
Right now, I’m expanding Shar Vanity into a full luxury experience — building out our new product lines, refining our online presence, and creating immersive content that showcases the artistry behind our brand. My goal is simple: to help women feel like the best version of themselves, one beautiful detail at a time.”
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a kid I believed that I could only achieve certain things within this one box, as I have grown older I have realized that the box doesn’t define me. I am all things to all people and at any moment I can be the greatest version of myself without any limitations.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
In life you have ups and downs, failure is apart of the journey. There have been plenty moments where self doubt and depression crept into my mind and I almost believed that I wouldn’t be successful. I had to understand what a journey is about. When you are in that space, you will go through different obstacles and lessons which all lead you exactly to where you are destined to be, full circle. I learned that nothing is a loss only a lesson. Learn from the lessons, pivot and try again a new way! When you fail don’t be so hard on yourself remember failure is temporary but greatness is forever.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
Smart people are not understanding that you don’t have to be perfect to start! They spend so much time planning and researching and developing that they never make it to the finish line. I want them to know that sometimes you just have to go for it and worry about the rest later. It’s easier said than done, but that’s The only thing that sets the difference between the smartest guy in the room and the average Joe. The average Joe wasn’t afraid to take risks because he had no where to go but up!
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Worrying and being anxious! Worry steals your joy! Be content with what you have and focus on the things you can change and unfocus on factors out of your control
