We recently had the chance to connect with Danny Desil and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Danny, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What is a normal day like for you right now?
A typical day for me begins with the sun — early rising, grounding myself, and easing into the morning one breath at a time. As a creative, entrepreneur, and sound healer, I always look forward to the possibilities each day brings. I start by giving myself that intentional space in the morning: breathwork, meditation, movement, stretching, and time at the piano. Sometimes I create melodies or cook up new ideas to express whatever I’m feeling as the day begins.
From there, my days unfold into a flow of creative and entrepreneurial work. I compose music for film, personal projects, and curated concepts. I work closely with clients through Rolling Recordz — our multimedia production studio that handles content creation, recording, and production for a variety of events, including our own. I also consult and schedule sessions for my sound‑healing wellness brand, collaborate with my team, and develop the melodies, content, and intentional experiences that come with building a growing wellness ecosystem.
Whether it’s booking clients, planning events, or organizing photo and video shoots, my schedule stays full — but in the best way. There’s always room for spontaneous moments, travel, new opportunities, and things that keep life exciting. Everything I do is rooted in intention and alignment, and that keeps each day fresh, meaningful, and uniquely me.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a pianist, producer, and sound healer, and my work sits at the intersection of creativity, wellness, and community. I operate full-time as a musician and producer, and I’m also the founder of Snooze Meditation — a sound‑healing wellness brand that has grown rapidly and become the heart of many of our recent productions. In addition, I’m a partner at Rolling Recordz, a multimedia production company that supports creators through content production, recording, live events, entrepreneurship, and creative development.
A major part of my work involves connecting with artists through what I call DaloKeys Creative Cookup Sessions. These are intuitive, flow-based music sessions where we create from scratch, explore ideas, and build intentional soundscapes together.
Snooze Meditation is currently one of our biggest focuses. It’s an extensive and evolving wellness brand that has expanded beyond Atlanta, offering live sound‑healing sessions crafted with intentional frequencies such as 432 Hz, 528 Hz, and other complex combinations. We bring these frequencies into public events, private sessions, one‑on‑ones, guided meditations, and tailored experiences designed for trauma healing, men’s and women’s wellness, mental health, and more.
We also collaborate with curated experiences and private dining events, elevating the senses of the room through sound — enhancing the atmosphere, the body, the mind, and the overall energetic environment. Whether it’s a live piano experience, flute, meditation, or full ensemble, everything we do is intentional and immersive.
I work closely with my partner Zo at Rolling Recordz to expand platforms for creators — not only in music and media, but also in wellness and conscious living. We’re building a team and a community rooted in alignment, growth, and elevating the collective.
Ultimately, my mission is to merge music, wellness, artistry, and immersive creative events into a unified ecosystem that uplifts others, strengthens community, and provides transformative experiences. That’s the work I’m doing — and the work I’m expanding every single day.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child, I believed that life — and my own abilities — came with limits. I was the short, smaller kid, and even though I knew deep down that I could do anything, I still carried this quiet belief that there were boundaries I wasn’t supposed to cross. I was adventurous, curious, spontaneous, but I still held onto that fear of “don’t go too far.” That mindset slowly shaped the way I approached myself: thinking I had to stick to one thing instead of exploring multiple passions, or that I couldn’t expand beyond what I already knew.
Over time, I realized that belief was never truly mine — it came from my environment, from what others projected, and from how people around me viewed their own limitations. As I grew, experienced more, and stepped into my own reality, I learned that those limitations weren’t real. Especially in the last two years, I’ve reached a place where the term “limit” doesn’t exist in my world anymore. I fully understand now that everything is possible.
Through collaborations, spontaneous moments, travel, creativity, and deep connections with people, life continues to show me that the world really is mine — it’s me versus me. Everything is beautiful when you bring intention to it. Every experience, whether good or challenging, carries purpose and growth.
Life is a cycle, and we choose whether it becomes an upward or downward spiral. Right now, I’m in the space of expansion, rising, growing, and embracing the fact that I am limitless. That’s the truth I stand in today.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
A few years ago, after going through several meaningful experiences, I realized that everything I face always reflects back to me. I grew up with the familiar norms many of us know — being told to hold in emotions, that men don’t cry, that you don’t need to express what you’re going through. I was also the person others came to for support, advice, and guidance, and while I loved being that person, I wasn’t processing my own pain. Instead of letting my emotions move and flow, I was letting them sit and affect me.
Through time, reflection, and deeper understanding of how life flows, I started to see that every experience is just that — an experience. Whether I label something as good or bad, it still carries lessons, movement, and opportunity. So instead of letting painful experiences weigh me down, I made the choice to let each experience help me grow.
That mindset shift changed everything. I began recognizing my own power — understanding that everything I do and everything I feel is within my control. Since then, I’ve been able to release more, communicate more openly, and simply be more. That awareness has allowed me to grow, expand, and reconnect with myself in ways I didn’t expect.
Realizing this also showed me how powerful we all are. The pain we feel comes from within, which means we also have the ability to transform it into something stronger, something meaningful. If it comes from us, we can reshape it. So why not use it as power? That’s the path I chose, and it’s been transformative ever since.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes — the public version of me is absolutely the real me. You might not see every side of who I am, but what you do see is 100% authentic. Dalo is Dalo, whether I’m on stage, in the studio, out in nature, or just vibing with my people.
My energy, my music, my flow, how I move — it all comes from a real and genuine place. I believe in living authentically, and I show up the same way everywhere I go. When you see me with my band, in sessions, or when we’re streaming and vibing out — that’s me. That’s us. Nothing forced, nothing fabricated.
It’s important to me that how I present myself aligns with who I truly am. And that’s the way I think everyone should move — in their truth, in their authenticity, and in their natural flow.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I’m doing what I was born to do — not what I was told to do. Growing up, there was a lot of confusion and pressure to follow what others expected. Those paths never aligned with me; they always felt like they were pushing back. But the moment I started choosing what I genuinely wanted to do, everything began to align in a real and organic way.
Things haven’t always been perfect, but from an early age I had the awareness that there was something more meant for me. These last few years especially have made that truth undeniable. I’m grateful that I trusted what God placed on my heart — to create, to activate, to heal, to bring joy, love, and community into the world. Through my music, creativity, and the work I do with my team, I’ve been discovering more of myself, and others are starting to see it too.
This journey feels like a live motion picture — something new, something powerful, something that hasn’t been seen before. I’m surrounded by talented individuals, living legends in their own right, people with unique perspectives who pour their gifts into their art and into our community. Together, we’re building something meaningful.
I’m doing exactly what I was meant to do. This is a special legacy in motion — and I’m excited to bring everyone along for what’s coming next. Me, the team, the whole gang — “We Live”, aligned, and we’re just getting started.
