We recently had the chance to connect with Isoke Luqman and have shared our conversation below.
Isoke, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
Right now, I feel called to step fully into the highest version of myself, to imagine who I am without the limitations I’ve placed on my own potential. I’m being called to serve others from a place of wholeness and to elevate every aspect of my life: physically, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Isoke Luqman and I am a wellness educator, creative curator, and founder of Gardens For Life, a lifestyle brand rooted in helping people reconnect with food as a source of healing and joy. Through our Nourish & Glow dinner experiences and educational workshops, we bring people together around anti-inflammatory cuisine, mindfulness, and the art of slowing down.
After navigating my own journey with inflammation and hormonal imbalance, I became passionate about showing women how to soothe their bodies through nutrient-dense meals, nervous system support, and intentional living. My work centers on making wellness approachable, beautiful, and culturally grounded — blending education with sensory experiences that nourish both body and spirit.
When I’m not hosting events or crafting recipes, you can find me exploring local farmer’s markets, sipping herbal tea, or planning my next Nourish & Glow gathering designed to inspire connection, healing, and joy.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Ego breaks the bonds between people. When we can’t separate ourselves from the ego, which often shows up to protect us, we end up creating distance and pain, even with those who love us most. What restores those bonds is love and the willingness to see the light in another person, even when their truth feels uncomfortable to hear.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There was a moment when I almost gave up, when I realized that the garden installation work I started under Gardens For Life no longer felt aligned. I was exhausted and ready to close that chapter entirely. But deep down, I knew I couldn’t walk away from something that had been planted with so much purpose. So I took a hiatus and prayed for guidance, asking Allah to lead me back to my business in a way that truly resonated. That prayer was answered through a rebrand and Nourish + Glow was born from that renewal.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. How do you differentiate between fads and real foundational shifts?
I differentiate between fads and real foundational shifts by tuning into alignment and purpose. I ask myself: Does this serve both me and others, or is it purely self-serving? Does it align with my core values, beliefs, and purpose? Does it educate, inspire, or create a positive impact? Those questions help me discern whether something is just a passing trend or part of a deeper, lasting shift.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m serving others through the gifts God has given me. I believe I’m here to heal and to inspire others to become the best version of themselves. My peace comes from embodying that truth, living it fully in my own life and guiding others to do the same.
