Story & Lesson Highlights with Michelle “Diamond” Nelson-Searcy of Atlanta

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Michelle “Diamond” Nelson-Searcy. Check out our conversation below.

Michelle “Diamond”, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What is a normal day like for you right now?
“A normal day for me starts with grounding… a bit of reflection, prayer, and gratitude before the noise begins. From there, I wear a few hats: property management with Unlimited Networks keeps me on my toes, NxtLevelPromotion keeps me in creative flow, and Infinite Perspectives fuels the storytelling side of what I do. Somewhere in between, I make time for movement, a good playlist, and checking in with family. My days are full, but I try to keep them aligned with purpose more than pressure.”

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
“I’m Michelle ‘Diamond’ Nelson-Searcy (The Voice) ~ founder of Infinite Perspectives, co-creator alongside the phenomenal Linda ‘I AM LINDA’ Boston, and the heart behind NxtLevelPromotion and Unlimited Networks Property Management, which I proudly run with my sister. Unlimited is close to my heart because it’s rooted in family, it’s about creating spaces where stability and care meet legacy.

Across all my work… media, management, or mentorship, the heartbeat is the same: connection and purpose! Infinite Perspectives, for example, is more than a media brand… it’s where voices become vision. We amplify real stories that inspire, heal, and build community. Everything I touch carries that thread of intention: helping others… and myself… see life through a wider, more intentional lens.”

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
“Without a doubt, my mother, Valerie Drysdale. She saw me long before I had words for who I was becoming. She carried me through what doctors said was impossible, and her strength shaped every bit of my faith and resilience. Even now, her voice is part of my compass. When I doubt, I hear her reminding me that purpose already lives in me, I just have to walk it out.

Everything I do now… the brands I build, the voices I amplify, even the woman I’m still becoming, is an extension of the light she left in me. My mother saw the diamond before it was ever polished, and I’m just living out the shine she knew was there.”

What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
“Some of the deepest wounds in my life have come from loss and betrayal… from losing my mother, Valerie, my Aunt Yvonne and my grandmother, Winnifred, who were the heartbeats of our family, to childhood trauma that forced me to understand forgiveness in a way I never expected, and the unimaginable grief of losing my babies, Kajean and Kaliyah. Each loss reshaped me.

Healing hasn’t been a single moment… it’s been a lifelong conversation with God, with myself, and with purpose. Through my work, I’ve turned pain into service and silence into story. Every project, every voice I help amplify, becomes part of that healing. I’ve learned that wounds don’t always disappear, they just stop defining you when you start defining them.”

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
“A cultural value I protect at all costs is unity in diversity; something I grew up with as part of Jamaica’s motto, ‘Out of Many, One People.’ It reminds me that strength lives in our differences and that every voice, every story, adds to the whole. That belief runs through everything I do… Infinite Perspectives, NxtLevelPromotion, and even my personal life. It’s about creating spaces where people feel seen, valued, and connected beyond titles or background. That’s the culture I carry and protect.”

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
“If I laid down my name, my roles, and everything I own, what would remain is my heart, my faith, my resilience, and my purpose. The things that can’t be stripped away because they were never built on status or stuff. I’d still be the woman who listens deeply, who lifts others, who turns stories into light. Titles and possessions can fade, but character and calling… that’s the part of me that endures.

At my core, I’m my mother’s diamond… refined through pressure, still shining with her strength. Even without a name, I’d still reflect the light she placed in me.”
