Hi New Culture , thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
Yes, we have an exciting event coming up called Saved & Saucy, happening October 3–4 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Even though we’re still a growing restaurant, it’s such a blessing to create a space that brings people together for the greater good. The flavor may be what makes you stop by, but it’s the spirit of God that makes you stay..

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
We are New Culture Eats, a faith-based, Caribbean-inspired soul food restaurant on the rise. We’re known for our signature Honey Jerk Sauce and flavorful eats, but at the core, we exist to show generosity and share the love of God through every plate we serve.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
“The greatest teacher we’ve had about work is the Father above. We truly believe that if a man does not work, he does not eat. But beyond that, we’ve also been shaped by our community — people who pour light into us and push us to grow, guiding us to become our best selves.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Wow, what a question. What suffering has taught me that success never could is resilience. It’s shown me how to push myself beyond the norm and to carry a true fire for my desires and aspirations in life. That drive — even through challenges — is what keeps me moving forward

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
“A cultural value we protect at all costs is staying true to ourselves and our roots. Trends will come and go, but our authentic flavor and our heart posture will never waiver.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
Honestly, if we were to close our doors tomorrow, we believe what people would miss most is the taste. Every flavor and sauce we create is made with care and intentionality. Our goal as a company has always been to feed not just the body but the spirit — to serve a plate that feels like home, the way Momma made it.
