Nikkijuststyled , really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity is the crowning jewel of traits, for it is the bedrock that elevates intelligence and energy, channeling them towards the greater good. Without integrity, intelligence and energy can be misused or even cause harm, whereas integrity shows the character traits of a person.
So for me integrity is always important b/c that is how I was raised back home in St. Thomas Virgin Islands and that is what I stand by in my business, empowering me to uplift others. Having morals. A person’s character has the profound power to shape the outcome of their customer service via their business.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am originally from the beautiful Virgin Islands, and after relocating to New York, I embarked on a successful modeling career and later established my own business as a fashion wardrobe stylist.
My unisex clothing brand,
“Be.yoU…Just Styled,” (available on Facebook @Just Styled Brand) was born out of a transformative experience after my mother’s unexpected passing.
Feeling lost, yet determined to honor her memory, I found solace in my daughter’s inspiration and continued on a mission to empower others.
Through my journey, I aim to spread a vital message: suicide is never an option, and self-love is essential.
Embracing your true self is not only okay, but it’s also necessary.
As a published author with books available on Amazon, I am currently working on my third book, with a movie trailer release anticipated for next year.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
The moment that transformed my world is my daughter. (Aka babyTEENager).
She has empowered me to see the world not only through my adult eyes but also through the eyes of a mother who would stop at nothing to nurture my child to love herself unconditionally and know that not everyone can be trusted.
I was once naive, but life is too short to waste on what-ifs or doubts; instead, learn, grow, develop a mindset that can achieve anything, stay focused, and remember, Mommy loves you infinitely.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
When my mom passed away, her heart stopped beating, and so did my focus..
The arrival of my daughter a year later sparked a profound sense of responsibility, and I made a conscious choice to shield her from my pain, instead channeling my emotions into empowering others to tap into their own resilience, focus, and potential for growth, self-love, and hope.
She is my rock and my world and my reason.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief you used to hold tightly but now think was naive or wrong?
Common sense, empathy, morals,..
Imagine a world where everyone taps into their inner wisdom and uses it to uplift others. Wouldn’t it be incredible if we could trust one another, knowing that respect is a two-way street?
I personally choose to extend respect from the start, and I invite you to nurture and grow it with me, creating a bond built on mutual trust and understanding….but if I see that the energy is negative I peacefully remove myself.
I was wrong to think everyone actually has a positive conscious and tries to do right instead of wrong by others.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What will you regret not doing?
I regret not being by my mother’s side when she asked for us to come down to my cousins 50th b’day party (the night she died on the dance floor)…instead I had to work and was scared of losing my job at the time at KG and to this day they still have it as “Job abandonment” in their system when my mom past…and Noone can control death….1 regret I live with…choosing work (to pay bills).
