Troy , so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
Yes, I’ve had a proud moment. I’ve worked on 7 audio concepts over the past year and a half for film, in which I would write. At the beginning of 2025, I started typing audio concept #4, which is fully complete now. My first full feature screenplay and pitch deck are complete.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Troy Maddox aka MaddSouL. I am a Music Producer, Music Supervisor, Award Winning Film Scorer, DJ and now, Script Writer. My brand, MaddsouL Ent., is about creativity and not being afraid to tap into uncharted territory.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My wife, Katrina, is definitely that person! Before I recognized all the creativity I have in me, she seen it and verbalized it first. She definitely gave me that confidence to pursue all these goals I’m reaching.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would say, dream even bigger and think outside the box.

Most definitely, I’m the same me 24/7. I don’t do well with giving a representative of me, which I’m sure we’ve all done at some point in life. So, the real me will do just fine.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. When do you feel most at peace?
When my family and I are on vacation.
