Check Out Dellonna Jones’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dellonna Jones.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
A few years ago, I became involved in leadership. Though started when I was an adolescence, I picked back up on what I loved the most which was helping individuals learn the rules to entrepreneurship and self-development. In 2020, I joined a group inside of an MLM that a former friend introduced me to. Initially it was for residual income purposes but I’d seen the beauty in mentoring. This changed my life and perspective of things drastically. In a sense, I asked “why not expand my horizon and take a leap of faith”? In 2021, I started my very own YouTube which is currently being rebooted for new advertising. I began using my social media platforms to help reach and broaden my target audience using the skills I’ve learned along the way. I currently have the pleasure of meeting new entrepreneurs across the world and being able to connect. I launched my very first talk show event called “True Identity Evaluation” which premiered Feb.5th.  This 5 part series will be held throughout the year so I advise anyone willing to participate to follow me on all platforms. Anyone willing to help shift the paradigm is more than welcome to tag along. I will continue to help others along their journey.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Growing up on the Southside of Chicago for 17 years was never easy. Suffering from a great loss of friends throughout my early childhood and teenage years has caused PTSD, depression and anxiety within myself. This pursued me to choose the career path that I’ve chosen. I know that there’s people out there who looks like me that doesn’t necessarily have the proper guidance they need to deal with these issues. In the past three years, I’d gotten tied into two legal matters and lost two siblings within the past year. Me not being able to work pushed me to pursue my career and learn what it really takes to be a young black entrepreneur starting from scratch. Everyday that wake, I know that I have to keep finding ways to make ends meet. At times, I feel like every other human being and getting lost in my negative thoughts but I chose to prosper because I know that these are obstacles that set apart the differences between the average and the greats. It’s all about durability. They say that you pick your hard and if it was gonna get hard, I wasn’t gonna stop in hell and at least choose a different outcome.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
– I am currently volunteering as a life coach with the PIC

program for HandsOnAtlanta.

– Creating a 5 part series event for my talk show.

-Hosting shows in schools, young adult programs, and business venues for motivational, healing and free thinking purposes.

-Finding other upcoming successful entrepreneurs to network/ collaborate with.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
As a mentor and mentee, I always encourage people to find someone that they either relate to, are comfortable with, admire and/or wishes to become. As a mentee, having someone helping guide you in the areas that you need advancement can be a extraordinary but also very consolidated for a mentor. Coming from a mentor perspective, I only give advice on what I’ve either learned or been through to keep the authenticity. Sometimes, it’s not always about what you want to hear but rather what you need to hear without being aggressive.
