Meet Carlos Acosta and Demily Cordero of No Mas Renta Usa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carlos Acosta and Demily Cordero.

Hi Carlos and Demily, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It all started with Demyly who always had the desire to do something different and since about 2019 she was motivated to start her studies to get her license as Real Estate Agent. After she got her license, we started the search for our own house and that’s when the magic happened, little by little we both fell in love with the process and we realized how much misinformation there was about it in the Hispanic community. After Demyly started to do business, I was encouraged to get the license of Real Estate Agen in the middle of the pandemic, seeing everything that was happening, we said let’s go all in and together on this. At that moment the brand name came out, something very direct and that transmits a very clear message without nuances. The beginning was difficult because we had to use all our savings and even go into debt betting on the project, but we never had any doubts that one day the harvest season would come. Today many people know us and we see and feel it in the street, the testimonials of our customers speak for themselves.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Has it been an easy road? We imagine that it was thanks to so many years of experience in sales and working directly with customers that definitely gave us the mental strength to know how to cope with situations and to be able to face the waiting time that implies that a business like this bears fruit. We found that most of our clients wanted to buy a new house and on average it took 6 to 8 months to be ready, and until the house was ready, we wouldn’t get paid.

The language was our biggest challenge, the Real Estate world is mostly in English which is not our first language and that complicated our path a bit. However, thanks to La Rosa Realty Georgia we managed to get all the training in Spanish and that was fundamental for our education.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
No Mas Renta is a team of real estate agents (Demyly and Carlos) who focus on providing home buying advice to the Hispanic community in Georgia. We take our clients by the hand through the entire process, from the initial consultation to getting them the bank loan, to handing over the keys on the day of closing. All service is in Spanish, and we focus on our clients learning the process and understanding why every move we make. We differentiate ourselves from others in that we understand the importance of buying a home for a family in this country, and we understand the mental processes that each family goes through during the whole process because buying a new home will really change a family’s life. We also inform the community about the financial benefits of owning real estate in the United States, as it could be the gateway to setting up your own business because it opens up financing alternatives that would otherwise be unobtainable.

Our only brand so far is No Mas Renta and of course, as an only child it is the darling of the house, it is definitely a name that has been well-liked and right from the start, it invites you to stop throwing your money away by living in a property that is not yours.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important in your success? Definitely FAITH. There was never any room for doubt in the success of the business, FAITH leads us to believe that everything is possible, and in the same way it makes us have the stamina to be able to wait the necessary time to harvest. We also think that it was fundamental to meet excellent people along the way, people willing to help and share their knowledge with us. The support of great people with a wide experience in the business makes us take firm steps forward and that gave us a lot of confidence.

I think that being close to our customers makes us different, when you feel that emotion because the loan approval was achieved or get to the point of shedding a tear or two to see how your customers embrace, that is not studied, there is no training for that, that is definitely your heart that connects with people and also feels and knows all the effort that went behind that transaction. Having those feelings is something that makes a difference and that’s where the hashtag #historiasqueinspiran came from.
