StepsDanceAcademyLLC was Founded in 2013 by Artistic Director Jerrica White who is from New Orleans, LA. When relocating to Atlanta, GA I decided to start SDA. StepsDanceAcademyLLC provides an opportunity for everyone in the community, no matter their age or experience, to discover the joys of dance. The SDA instills confidence and self-awareness that will help anyone achieve their goals and dreams.
Since its founding, the SDA has become one of the top dance education facilities in my eyes and continues to set a high standard. Students also receive the special benefit of rehearsing and observing and learning the ins and outs of being a professional dancer.
StepsDanceAcademyLLC is a magical experience. Every day, aspiring dancers take part in the SDA programs, moving closer to achieving their dreams. Each and every studio, from morning to night, is filled with youthful exuberance and talent. Every day, life-long friendships are formed. Words cannot describe the power of witnessing the future of dance firsthand.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Starting a dance company is a little like having a child: It takes a lot of energy, involves sleepless nights and is definitely a labor of love. In both endeavors, there are inevitably critics who will hint that you don’t know what you are doing.

What I feel like sets us apart from anyone else is because I am a mobile dance Academy. Meaning I come to you and also I’m not in this business for competition reasons. I’m in it to build self-esteem.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My future plains are finding more kids. Eventually becoming one of the best.
