Meet Shaniece Marsh of NIECY Michelle Artistry in Stockbridge

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shaniece Marsh.

Shaniece, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Makeup has always been a part of my life; I remember growing up playing in my mother’s and oldest sister makeup. I just loved how you could express yourself through it—creating different looks to go along with how you felt for that day whether it was Glamorous, classy, or even simple. It was not until 2017 I decided to take my craft seriously. I was determined to not just do makeup on myself but on others as well. I watched so many YouTube makeup tutorials I decided to attended Empire Beauty School to get certified. From there, it was history my story had begun. It is indeed, still being written. This I know, will be a beautiful ending because I love what I do. I love making women feel beautiful, enhancing what is truly already there.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been an easy road. There has been plenty of days I wanted to quit. I felt as though my clientele was not booming fast enough for me. It was very discouraging. I wanted things to happen without putting in the time for it. In the “down times” you find out how driven are you. In those time, I had to remind myself that if I wanted the clientele, I had to go get it. I am still not where I want to be, but I am excited about my future!

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the NIECY Michelle Artistry story. Tell us more about your work.
Niecy Michelle Artistry is a company that caters to the art of beauty. I am a hairstylist and makeup artist. I specialize in skincare and makeup. I am most proud of the clientele and relationships that has been built and created over the years. “What sets me apart from others”, I would say, is my dedication and determination. I love everything about what I do.
