Meet Ti’Aira Carter of TLC Graphics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ti’Aira Carter.

Hi Ti’Aira, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
TLC Graphics was once me taking graphic orders through my personal page DM. No business page, for a long time, there wasn’t even a thought to take my talents further than just a hobby, it was just me doing what I knew best, what came so easily to me.

Before TLC Graphics even came to be, I was just a YouTuber that made YouTube intros for my peers; the aspiring YouTubers to be exact. With me being a YouTuber that’s also good at graphic design, I would make my own intros for my videos. Whenever I decided I wanted something new for my channel, I’d create a new intro and then showcase it on my Instagram. After doing that for some time, my followers started to take an interest in having an intro made for their own channels. They’re essential for your videos, but that’s beside the point. After having a lot of ppl reach out, I then decided to get my hustle on and charge a small fee to make youtube intros for others. People make YouTube channels every day. That’s where the money resides, so I knew making intros was something I could make good money doing.

After a while, it came to a point where I wanted more out of this little hustle. I didn’t know exactly what or how much more I wanted, but I knew I wanted to turn things up a notch. With that being said, I invested in myself and bought a course on how to make intros from Ky Lashaii, a successful YouTuber, entrepreneur and graphic designer. I’ve been following her through almost all of her journey and success so I knew her stuff was the truth. She specialized in making intros, and I loved how she did them. I know you might think, why would I buy that course if I already knew how to make intros, but it wasn’t the learning of how to make them that I wanted; it was the new techniques, the better software, overall just better quality intros that I could provide for people. I also knew that with better quality, I could charge a little bit more for my work.

It wasn’t until after I completed the course that I got the idea to turn my hobby into a business. But not just a business is doing youtube intros. I was going to be doing youtube graphics of all kinds: intros, banners, thumbnails, everything! But God had other plans for me. He put the idea in me to not only do YouTube graphics but business graphics as well; stuff like logos, flyers, etc. And that’s when TLC Graphics was born. It wasn’t until months later that I officially launched. A lot went into play behind the scenes. I just wanted to make sure my baby was ready for the world. I didn’t wanna let myself down either. I’ve had my fair share of businesses. I just wanted one that was successful and true to me. And as I hoped, I got exactly what I wanted. It’s been up for TLC Graphics ever since I launched. I get so exciting seeing new bookings, I have fun creating/bringing visions to life, sitting at home making money, I really love what I do. This business has helped me in so many ways, and I’m forever grateful.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Honestly, I must say it has been a smooth road. I’m not where I want to be but with the hard work I put into my business, I know the only way is up. Graphic design comes so easily to me it’s like how I could lose? I’m content with where TLC Graphics is at. Especially only being launched for only a month. And of course, I want more, but I’m not rushing anything. I’m taking everything for what it is. The key is hard work and faith. And like they say, “faith without work is dead.” With that being said, the best is yet to come. I do my part by giving my all into my business, and God handles everything else for me. I’m so thankful for all of my clientele.

We’ve been impressed with TLC Graphics, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
TLC Graphics is a business dedicated to helping others love their brand. With my initials being TLC and that also standing for tender, loving, care, I wanted to incorporate that into my business. I offer graphic design and brand styling services. When doing work for others, I tend to put lots of love and care into it. So much that I leave them in love with their “new” business. I bring visions to life and motivate others to grow their business. And that’s what sets me apart from others. You have some who are in it for the money. You have others who are unprofessional with what they do, etc. But you won’t find that at TLC Graphics. I do everything with love. A little can go a long way.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
If I had to choose between the two, I would most definitely say luck played a part in my life and business. I’m very blessed, and I thank the man above for that. Everything I embark on comes out in my favor 9/10; Always with faith and hard work, and that’s exactly what happened with TLC Graphics. I had the vision, took the leap, and everything else fell into place. When I post my work, not too long after I get booked to do more work. And my clientele just continues to grow.

I don’t want people to think it’ll always be easy. You have to put in the work. I will always preach that. I take my business very seriously and create quality content, and that’s why my peers are willing to invest in and support me. As far as life goes, I would say you get what you put out. It’s the way to life. Yes, there’s going to be bumps along the road, and everyday won’t be a good day, but I always try to have an attitude of gratitude. Your thoughts become your reality. So yes! I’ll choose luck everyday. Blessed and highly favored is what I forever want to be.
