Rising Stars: Meet Jess Lundy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jess Lundy.

Jess, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My foodie journey started with Yelp! I used Yelp a lot to figure out places to go and I wanted to be a part of that community to help others decide where to go! I loved trying out new places, writing reviews, and sharing pictures of my food. That’s when I became a Yelp Elite! Since then, I have been a part of the Yelp Elite Squad for seven years and that is how I have met some of the best foodies in the Atlanta area! So many of them encouraged me to start my own Instagram Page, so that is where @JessFindsFun was started. I wanted to have a page that not only featured food, but also hiking, travel, fashion, and fun!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been too bad! I have no background in social media marketing, so it is definitely a “learn as I go” process. I would say my biggest struggle is time. Making time to capture quality content and present it in an engaging and creative manner has definitely been a learning curve. I am just getting started, so I am giving myself the grace to learn all the things as I build my page and my brand. I hope that every post I make helps to share all the fun things my community has to offer and will help people choose where to eat and what to do for fun.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My work focuses on all things fun! I specialize in content that focuses on yummy places to eat for your next meal and unique places to explore on your next adventure. I am known for my silly, quirky personality and my willingness to try almost anything once. My goal for this new adventure is to find the fun in everything I do and share it with others, so they can find fun too!

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Being relevant, relatable, and helpful. I want to be known for posting content that captures the interests of my followers in a relatable and fun way. I want my followers to be able to go to my page and find a list of places where they can explore and eat. I want local businesses to feel seen and showcased for the unique and fun things they have to offer. I hope my page is a space where businesses and customers/travelers can come together to experience all the fun finds in the community.
