Hi Kteeeezy, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Thank you VoyageAtl for reaching out to me for this interview. I greatly appreciate this. I’m Kteeeezy, an independent artist/creator from Winston Salem NC. I got serious about my music in 2019. I used to record freestyles on my phone before I started going to an actual studio. I eventually took the time to invest in a computer and studio equipment, looked up tutorials on how to record and learned how to record my music and others on my computer. I bought a camera a few months ago and have started shooting music videos, learning more and more after each one I complete. Kteeeezy Kreationz is the business I started that offers services such as (Music Videos, Home Studio, Marketing, Event Recap, and much more! I look forward to working with more artists/creators in North Carolina and surrounding states! To the people reading this interview, do what you love and love what you do. Anything is possible, but it starts with you. You have to believe in yourself.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has been a fairly smooth road so far. As time progressed from when I first started, I learned how to be more patient and trust the process. I had to differentiate social media engagement from real-life support. I would get excited and post my new work sometimes and get no interactions which discouraged me a little at first. Over time I had to remind myself of the reason why I started. Which was my passion for music and inspiring others! I get motivation from my family, supporters, friends and all the obstacles I had to overcome to make it where I am today. I recently started shooting music videos [Kteeeezy Kreationz] and I’m enjoying doing that. It’s another way I can express my creativity while also providing a service for other upcoming artists!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m Kteeeezy and I make music, motion covers, shoot music videos and implement marketing strategies for YouTube Channels! I perform at live venues from time to time and network amongst others in different cities/states. I got serious about making music in 2019. I would describe my music as a mix of Embracing the struggle, party/club, turnup, relationships/emotions, and different aspects of life people can relate to. I’m from the Southside of Winston Salem North Carolina and I’ve always loved listening to music growing up and still to this day. You can expect more content to be uploaded to YouTube on a consistent basis and for my debut Album “$outhern Slang” to drop on all platforms on Nov. 25th!
How do you think about luck?
I believe that everything happens for a reason. You might not know the reason right now but I believe as time passes you will have a better understanding about certain things. Live your life, and take it day by day. Apply pressure, but at the same time, don’t rush anything. I’m appreciative of everyone that supports what I’m doing!
