Meet Tony DeMil

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tony DeMil.

Tony DeMil is known for his Roles on HBO Succession, NCIS New Orleans, and The Bobby Brown Story. (2018)

He owes much of his success to his Amazing Agents. Jacob and Corey Lawson, the owners of Privilege Talent, are some of the most incredible, personable, hard-working Talent Agents in town. Additionally, Atlanta is known for Casting Directors who really fight for talent.

He learned the craft with the talented and Beautiful Lauren O’Quinn, owner of Class Act Studios, Orlando, with whom he trained for ten years, studying Meisner and Scene Analysis. He is represented by Privilege Talent here in Atlanta, Level Talent Group in Florida, Pastorini-Bosby in Texas, and Heyman Talent in the Northeast.

He teaches at an amazing Acting studio in Atlanta, known as Get Scene Studios. They offer Casting Director and Agent Workshops and On Camera, Foundations, and Character Development Classes. Jesse Malinowski is the Owner and CEO, of the studio, Amazon Best Seller for his Book ‘Turning Rejection into Success, and a good friend.

He also loves teaching at Red Hot Yoga Studios here in Atlanta. They are a great community of people interested in uplifting the body and the spirit. Bethany Vaughn runs the studio and taught Tony his 200 hours, 5-month Instructor course.

He’s trained Capoeira for ten years at an amazing school in Orlando, and continue ties with them. Capoeira Brazilian Pelourinho is one of the oldest and most SOLID places to learn the Afro-Brazilian Martial Art. Under the tutelage of Mestre Lazaro Santos, the only Capoeira Mestre Teaching in Orlando, the Studio continues to thrive and Grow! They have an amazing Kids Program!

His work with The Russell Home for Atypical Children is some of his proudest work. The Russell Home is the first non-profit institution in the country for brain-damaged children. Located in Orlando, FL, The Russell Home is also a proud member of the Florida Association of Christian Child Caring Agencies.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
We grew up in Longwood, FL of meager means. Things were tough. My mom raised four Kids by herself. We never went without, but we definitely felt the ‘Wolf at the door.’

My Mom, Brother Andy, Sisters Brandy and Claire, and extended family have really done a good job at staying close and keeping the family on track through the lean times, and the prosperous. My Mom is an Angel, and I wouldn’t be here without her.

We’d love to hear more about what you do.
Probably my favorite accomplishments so far is my CoStarring role on NCIS, New Orleans, HBO’s Succession, The Bobby Brown Story, and the Upcoming How High 2.

Teaching at Get Scene Studios brings me a lot of joy as well! I teach a Foundations Class, as well as “In The Moment.” We focus on The Meisner Technique and Scene Breakdown and Analysis.

Staying in Shape by practicing with Red Hot Yoga and Capoeira Brazilian Pelourinho has been pivotal to keeping a healthy mind, body, and spirit.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success for me is contentment. Appreciating what you have, standing up for others, having compassion for the downtrodden, and finding a group of friends who support one another emotionally and spiritually.

The rest of the things come to you when you’re living right. Giving back as much as possible really takes away that feeling of ‘What am I doing with my life?’
