Meet Neshaszda Wright of Neshaszda Z Photography & Dream Machine Adventures

Today we’d like to introduce you to Neshaszda Wright.

Neshaszda, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
It all started in 2008 while I was attending Albany State University. I discovered I had the passion and the love for entrepreneurship, so I started my own organization on campus. The organization helped students embrace their individuality! It is called Phresh Lyfe Modeling Troupe back into 2008, and it is still thriving on campus today.

After college, I joined the military, and the military taught me organization and order that I would later use for my businesses. While in the military I also met another soldier who became the love of my life and my husband and father of my two beautiful children!

After my contract, I took a leap on Faith and started my own photography company, Neshaszda Z Photography where we specialize in portraits and wedding photography. To advance in my photography business, I took college courses, and I completed an internship with Derek Blanks for experience and technical education and from day one my business has been thriving.

While being an entrepreneur, I was also having children and raising my family at the same time. This process motivated me so much! Sometimes becoming a new mom, you might feel like you can’t do anything else but being a mom and juggling motherhood and entrepreneurship motivated me!!

I wanted to leave a legacy for my children to have so my husband, my children and I published a children’s book starring my two kids entitled, “I dream of being…” This book series is dedicated to inspire kids all around the world to have self-confidence and believe in themselves and know that they can accomplish anything they put their mind to.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Some struggles that I experienced while growing my business was being a mother and experiencing postpartum. Every woman knows that RE-discovering yourself after birth and getting back into your own groove can be a process but once I cracked the code I was well on my way.

Another struggle I went through was comparing myself to others it’s very important not to compare yourself to other’s journeys because you won’t enjoy your own.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Neshaszda Z Photography & Dream Machine Adventures Children’s Book Series – what should we know?
Neshaszda Z Photography motto is, capturing moments that last a lifetime. We specialize in portraits and wedding photography I absolutely love what I do and put my heart Into every flash.

I am known for a time I went viral with my son on his birthday. I always do little music videos for my children on their birthdays, and in 2017, I decided to have my son remake the fresh prince of the bel-air intro, and it was viewed over 1 million times! It was on Fox News, buzzfeed, Parents Magazine, The Atlanta Journal Constitution, and much more.

What sets Neshaszda Z Photography apart from others?
We provide an annual scholarship to other students striving to accomplish their dreams. We are currently on our 3rd annual scholarship. We have had five recipients so far.

Dream Machine Adventures Book Series:
As an author, I truly enjoy providing literature for children that motivates and empowers them to believe in themselves with self-confidence, and I also love encouraging children to set goals and accomplish their dreams.

What set our book apart from others is that we also have paired our children’s book with a unique bedding set collection that is dedicated to little brown children all around the world. I noticed as a mother that there are no bedding sets that reflect brown children so we created mink blankets with our characters that children can enjoy during bedtime.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?

-My sister for allowing me to start my photography business in her garage my first year in business.
