Meet Wilecia LaRoyce of NiaNicole Salon in Snellville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wilecia LaRoyce.

Wilecia, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
In November of 2014, I took over as Interim CEO of the company and began full-time ownership in January 2015. My styling career began at a very young age in my mother’s home. After graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi and working as an Entertainment Reporter and News Editor for a local television station, I decided to pursue my passion in Cosmetology. Graduating from the respected Paul Mitchell the School Atlanta, my natural talent was able to unite with technical skill. I’ve worked at some of the top salons in the city of Atlanta, received numerous awards, and in 2005, opened my first salon, L.R. Studio Salon. After successfully owning a business for 6 years, I knew it was time to take my career to the next level and purchased the award winning NiaNicole Salon.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The road to transitioning to becoming the Owner was not easy. Although I had been and Owner previously of another salon, learning the culture of an established business as well as injecting my own technique, style, and flair took some time. However, once I figured out my balance, it was full speed ahead from there.

Please tell us about NiaNicole Salon.
NiaNicole Salon boasts an ambiance of luxe, chic, and sophistication that pervades as one steps into the entryway. It is more than posh. This creative, energetic, hair salon is the scene. The modern architecture of the exterior coupled with the breathless décor of the interior is the most inviting. It is done in a palette of orange and sable brown, accented with harmonious hues reminiscent of autumn, interspersed with modern touches of brass. Each of the brass mirrors on the 12 stations is adorned with the NiaNicole Salon engravement, to leave a lasting imprint.

Over the past year we have aimed to make NiaNicole Salon a pillar in the Snellville community by partnering with Snellville Middle School for their annual Career Day, becoming sponsors for Quinn House, Gwinnett Family Promise Shelter, and Gwinnett’s Children’s Shelter by hosting a BACK-TO-SCHOOL supply drive for the families and children of the shelters, and this year we partnered with The Swag Bag Project which provides access to feminine hygiene products to impoverished Middle and High School Girls in Gwinnett County.

My team and I will continue to make our clients our focus by providing the best customer service possible. Our online presence has increased by well over 100% in just one year, and that is not just by mistake or chance, it is because the style is there. We are the best in customer service, styling, and making sure every client walks out satisfied.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I had to start all over, I would do it all the same. I don’t take anything, good or bad, as a disappointment. There all lessons.
