Meet Courtney Angle of Southern Magnolia Photography in Northeast

Today we’d like to introduce you to Courtney Angle.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Photography became a passion of mine shortly after my Dad passed away in the Fall of 2014. When I was left with nothing but memories and photos to look back on, I quickly realized just how important it is to capture ALL the special times in your life. Shortly after leaving the medical field to become a stay at home mom to my son Easton, I decided to finally turn my hobby into a business. I desired to find a job that would allow me the flexibility of a good balance between work and home. My business quickly became that balance I was looking for, and I could not be more happy to pursue my dream job.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I would say this journey has been smooth and steady for the most part. In the beginning, it is undoubtedly hard to find clients that trust you to capture some of their biggest moments in life. However, as time passed, my new clients developed more trust and I earned a reputation that resulted in returning-lifelong customers.

Please tell us about Southern Magnolia Photography.
Southern Magnolia Photography specializes in a wide range of photography options. We offer: Engagement, Children, Family, Maternity, Fresh-48 sessions, Senior Graduation photos, and Wedding Photography.

My number-one goal is to capture each session for all that it embodies; Documenting those sweet smiles, happy tears, laughter, and everything in between.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would not have done things much differently. I jumped into this journey head first and eager to show my passion to others. I am proud of what I have accomplished and the lessons I have learned along the way.
