Meet Brittany Kennedy of Bodacious Krafts in Ellenwood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Kennedy.

Brittany, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I come from a family of handy people. Throughout my years my family and I have always worked on different projects, big and small which lead to l creating being a passion of mine. Honestly, I am not limited to what I do; creating anything with my hands is what I love to do. Which leads me to Science. I proceeded to pursue my career at GSU and received my degree. While doing that I started my business Bodacious Krafts.

It all started with my mother and I doing a fun and simple craft with my little cousin. In our household, we are somewhat of what you call health freaks. So I started to wonder what it would be like to create natural products that can benefit the outside of the body. It has been almost three years now since I started creating natural body care products. Throughout my journey, I have found many different avenues to continue to gain knowledge on how to cater to the outside of the body naturally.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My journey has not been smooth at all and I still have a long road ahead. I’ve had many frustrations as far as purchasing expensive ingredients just to turn around and make a mistake. In my line of business, it is mainly trial and error, so I have to be prepared mentally and physically to continue to move forward despite any disappointments, especially because I am funding myself. It can be difficult sometimes to juggle full-time work and running my business that also comes With added doubts from family because of their own past experiences.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Bodacious Krafts – what should we know?
Bodacious’s Krafts is all natural and handmade crafts. My businesses main focus right now is all natural body care products using nothing but the best skin loving ingredients that will leave the skin attractive and admirable (hints the name). But that is not all, Bodacious’s Krafts is not only natural body care products; it will also expand to other platforms such as jewelry. I am proud how far my business has come and how much knowledge I have gained through this process. What sets Bodacious’s Krafts apart from others is the love and luxurious ingredients that are put into creating products. My knowledge in natural holistic health and my creative mind gives me the opportunity to try new and uncommon things.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Happiness is most important to my success. I want to wake up everyday in a place where I am completely satisfied and happy with my life, this will help me to continue to express myself positively in whatever I do.
